This article attempts to lay a foundation for future work on values gained by socially expanding acting. Encountering the 4th industrial revolution era, we've constantly introspected existential values inherent in human beings and tendency. Klaus Schwab, who argued the advent of the 4th industrial revolution in Davos Forum 2016, remarks that human beings' existential value can be implemented in a type of human who develops and maintains four firm and balanced elements of intelligence in the reality full of opportunities and risks which human beings are facing in the present and the near future. He emphasizes four types of intelligence as elements to be developed in order to respond to the 4th revolution: contextual intelligence, emotional intelligence, inspired intelligence, and physical intelligence, all of which are associated with a widely-recognized 'concept of talent marked by creativity and integration'. To explore the purpose of this article, I point out that the four types of intelligence are inherent in acting behaviors, so called a category of 'role-playing'. Acting behaviors which general actors show on the stage involve cognitive analysis and understanding on 'the roles' in the contextual dimension, empathy and representation in the emotional dimension, unified spirit with characters in the inspirational dimension as well as expressional development and implementation of sounds and bodies they act on in a physical dimension. When this context and a linkage point considered, it is implied that utilizing 'role-playing(acting)' has wide usefulness in implementing integrated talents with creativity. This study delves deeper into the value achieved by social expansion of acting in a general sense, not limiting acting as a professional art and a tool used in training for sublimation of artwork. Not only do I put on focus on how role playing(acting) can be used in the development of creativity; I also examine how it can be generalized with an aim to look for feasible approaches.

본 연구는 ‘연기행위(Acting)’가 예술작품의 승화를 위한 전문적 기예와 훈련도구에 한계 짓지 않고, 일반적 의미에서 사회적 확장 가치에 천착하여 분석하고자 한다. 문헌고찰을 통해 인간의 창의성 지능 개발에 역할연기(연기행위)가 어떻게 접목되고 일반화 될 수 있는가에 연구방향을 집중하고, 그에 따른 방법론적 측면까지 모색하는데 목표를 둔다. 본 논문은 연기행위(역할연기)의 사회적 확장 가치에 관한 기반 연구에 해당한다. 인류는 현재 4차 산 업혁명시대에 직면하면서, 인간의 본질적인 존재적 가치와 지향성격에 대하여 끊임없이 성찰하고 있는 상황이다. 2016 다보스포럼을 통해 4차 산업혁명의 도래를 주창한 ‘클라우스 슈밥’(Klaus Schwab/세계경 제포럼 회장)은 인류가 현재와 미래에 직면한 기회와 위기의 현실에서 인간의 존재적 가치는 소위 4가지 지능요소를 균형감 있고 견고하게 개발 및 유지하는 인간형이라는 점을 밝히고 있다. 4차 산업혁명에 부 응하기 위한 지능개발 요소로 <상황맥락(Contextual)지능>, <정서(emotional)지능>, <영감(inspired)지능>, <신체(physical)지능>을 강조하면서, 이것은 지금에 보편적으로 널리 인식되고 있는 ‘창의적 융합 인재형’ 과 맞닿아 있다. 여기서 주목하는 점은, 4가지 지능요소가 연기행위, 곧 ‘역할연기’라는 범주에 모두 내재 되어 있다는 점이다. 일반적인 배우들의 연기행위를 들여다보면, ‘역할(Role)’을 대상으로 상황맥락 차원의 인지분석과 이해, 정서 차원의 감정동화 및 구현, 영감 차원의 등장인물에 대한 합일된 영혼화, 신체 차원에서의 역할인물의 소리와 몸의 표현 개발과 구현이 펼쳐지고 있다. 이러한 맥락과 연계지점을 고려 할 때, 창의성 기반의 융합형 인재구현에 ‘역할연기(연기행위)’의 접목이 충분히 효용가치가 있음을 시사한다.
