This study aims to identify the human rights conditions of Goryeoin residents in Gwangju as migrant workers. For the study, we conducted a survey on the labor rights, safety and health rights, residence and living rights of Goryeoin migrant workers.Items of the survey were whether the passport and foreigner registration forms were kept, whether they violated the contract of work, and whether or not they were overdue. Most of the Goryeoin a re temporary workers. Nevertheless, the rights of Goryeoin as migrant wor kers have not been significantly violated. Based on the above survey results , this study is intended to serve as a momentum to develop practical policie s to enable the Goryeoin to lead decent lives in all areas, including labor, he alth care, housing and living as members of the Gwangju community. The return of ethnic Goryeoin to their motherland is increasing. To support our compatriots in practical ways to help them settle down in Korean society, a careful survey of more people should be conducted based on the survey results from this study.

본 연구는 이주 노동자로서 광주에 거주하는 고려인 동포들의 인권 실태를 파악하 는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이주노동자 고려인들을 대상으로 노동권, 안전·건강권, 주거· 생활권 등에 대한 실태조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사항목은 여권 및 외국인등록지 보관여 부, 근로계약 위반 여부, 체불여부 등이다. 대부분 고려인들은 비정규직이다. 그럼에도 고 려인들의 이주노동자로서의 권리는 크게 침해 받고 있지는 않은 것으로 드러났다. 위 조 사 자료를 토대로, 본 연구를 고려인들이 광주공동체의 일원으로서 노동, 의료, 주거, 생 활 등 모든 영역에서 인간다운 삶을 영위할 수 있는 실질적 정책마련의 계기로 활용하고 자 한다.고려인 동포들의 모국으로 귀환이 증가하고 있다. 우리동포인 고려인을 실질적으 로 지원하여 한국사회에 정착할 수 있도록 도우려면, 본 연구의 설문조사 등을 기초로 보 다 많은 인원을 대상으로 한 면밀한 실태조사가 지속되어야 할 것이다.
