This paper studies how English 2nd person pronouns are rendered in Korean subtitles. In order to examine the pronouns, we collected data from Hyowon AVT Corpus built by the English Language and Literature Department at Pusan National University. Three thousand two hundred eighty-eight(3,288) tokens of ‘you/your’ are collected from 10 movies released in the year 2000 or later. The tokens are coded by 3 categories: Ommission, Correspondence, and Shift. The 2nd person pronouns coded into Shift are further categorized into four types of Shift within the framework of Catford’s Shift Theory. Results show that 85.6% of subjective pronouns are not translated, i.e., Ommission. The current study reveals that a number of accusatives tend to be translated into adverbial pronouns in Korean. This paper also has explored the usage of ‘tangsin’ in subtitles to see how the word, of which meanings seem to be changing over centuries, is used in subtitles. This serves as a pilot study for further research on current usages of ‘tangsin’
