This study was performed to research soft skills closely associated to the contents of practical science subject(PSS) in Korean elementary school. And the main contents of this study were composed of the comparative analysis of related curriculum for selecting content factors of PSS that would be fitted to the data collecting, the concept review of soft skills related to the contents of PSS, the extraction of related variables, scaling for measurement, deduction of factors, and designing the research model. 15 content elements of PSS with 13 soft skills were selected, finally 4 factors were deducted from 15 content elements. To achieve the this purpose, IBM SPSS Statistics program was used in the data analysis with reliability, factor analysis, multiple regression, t-test and etc. The results of this study were as follow. The association were high between the information‧technology factor and self-reliant, creative, altruistic, the household arts‧career guidance factor and accurate, resourceful, the making factor and creative, accurate, resourceful, the ecological life science factor and creative, accurate, the whole subject and creative, accurate, self-reliant.

이 연구는 초등학교 실과 교과의 내용 요소들과 관련된 소프트 스킬을 구명하는데 목적을 두고 추진되었으며, 자료 수집에 적합한 실과교과의 내용 요소를 결정하기 위하여 현행 초등학교 실과 교과의 내용과 2019년부터 새롭게 적용될 교육과정을 비교 분석하였고, 관련성이 있을 것으로 예상되는 소프트 스킬을 선정하기 위하여 스킬 관련 선행 연구를 고찰하였다. 그리고 수집된 자료를 분석하여 실과교과 내용 요소들의 요인을 압축하고, 압축된 요인, 내용 요소, 그리고 교과와 소프트 스킬의 관계를 구명하였다. 문헌 고찰을 통해 실과교과의 내용 요소 15개와 소프트 스킬 13개를 선정하였으며, 15개의 교과 요소는 정보‧기술, 가정‧진로, 만들기, 생명‧환경의 4개 요인으로 압축하였다. 분석 자료는 교육대학교 학생 247명으로부터 수집하였으며, 수집된 자료는 데이터 탐색, 탐색적 요인분석, 회귀분석, t 검증 등을 적용하여 분석하였다. 분석에는 IBM SPSS Statistics 24.0 통계 프로그램이 이용되었으며, 가설 검증의 유의수준은 5%로 설정하였다. 정보‧기술 요인은 독립적인, 창조적인, 이타적인, 가정‧진로 요인은 정확한, 문제해결을 잘하는, 만들기 요인은 창조적인, 정확한, 문제해결을 잘하는, 생명‧환경 요인은 창조적인, 정확한, 그리고 교과 전체적으로는 창조적인, 정확한, 독립적인이란 소프트 스킬과의 연관성이 높은 것으로 나타났다.
