Entering into a hyper-connected society, people are witnessing a variety of social changes including many changes in education. As artificial intelligence is used in education and various cutting-edge technologies are combined with lessons, learners are expected to acquire the ability to expand their knowledge or create new knowledge by breaking away from old modes of simply acquiring knowledge and instead utilizing and integrating knowledge. Learners need to be able to adapt well to these changing learning environments. How do learners perceive the changing learning environment, and how are they changing in these various learning method? It is important to understand the changed learning modes of these learners and to connect them to educational practice. Therefore, this study conducted a perception survey on the learners’ awareness of hyper-connected society and their learning ability, learning medium, learning method, and learning style in order to find out the learners’ awareness of the characteristics of hyper-connected society and determine the characteristics of learners suitable in a hyper-connected society. The measurement tool for awareness of hyper-connected society was developed based on previous studies, and the learning style was analyzed using the tool developed by Jeong and Park (2017). The conclusion it obtained is as follows. First, the recognized that a majority of the hyper-connected society stage was in the development stage, and the learning medium that was the helpful in the transition to a hyper-connected society was the smart phone, and a systematic research on its utilization method must be supported. Second, the competency that is demanded from learners is device operation followed by critical thinking, communication skills, activity, and creativity. Third, the learning methods are expected to undergo the greatest change due to the transition into a hyper-connected society, and change factors include information acquisition, information utilization, and information exploration. Fourth, learning styles suited to a hyper-connected society include the figural factor for the information type, the holistic factor for information processing, the active factor for information understanding, and the collaborative factor for learning attitude, with the educational discussion regarding these being carried out.

초연결사회로 접어들면서 다양한 사회적 변화와 함께 교육에도 많은 변화를 가져오고 있다. 인공지능이 교육에 활용되고 다양한 최첨단 기술이 수업에 접목되면서 학습자들은 단순히 지식을 습득하는 것에서 벗어나 지식을 활용하고 접목함으로써 지식을 확장하거나 새로운 지식을 창출해 낼 수 있는 능력을 요하며, 이러한 변화된 학습환경에 잘 적응할 수 있어야 한다. 학습자들은 변화된 학습환경을 어떻게 인식하고 있으며, 다양한 학습방법에 있어 어떠한 변화를 보이고 있는가? 이러한 학습자들의 변화된 학습양상을 파악하여 교육적 실천으로 이어져야 한다. 본 연구는 초연결사회 특성에 관한 학습자들의 인식과 초연결사회에 적합한 학습자 특성을 알아보고자 초연결사회에 관한 인식, 학습역량, 학습매체, 학습방법, 학습양식 등에 관한 인식조사를 실시하였다. 초연결사회에 관한 인식 도구는 선행연구들을 토대로 개발되었으며, 학습양식 도구는 정영주·박병기(2017)가 개발한 도구를 사용하여 분석하였다. 이에 따른 결론은 다음과 같다. 먼저, 초연결사회 단계에 대하여 과반수가 발전단계에 와있는 것으로 인식하고 있었으며, 초연결사회에 따른 가장 도움이 되는 학습매체는 스마트폰으로 그 활용방안에 대한 체계적인 연구가 뒷받침되어야 한다. 둘째, 학습자에게 가장 요구되는 역량은 기기활용이며, 비판적 사고와 소통능력, 능동성, 창의성 등이었다. 셋째, 초연결사회로 변화됨에 따라 학습방법에 가장 많은 변화가 있을 것으로 예상하고 있었으며, 변화요인으로 정보획득, 정보활용, 정보탐색 등이었다. 넷째, 초연결사회에 적합한 학습양식으로 정보유형에 도형적 요인, 정보처리는 전체적 요인, 정보이해는 활동적 요인, 학습태도는 협력적 요인으로 조사되었으며, 이에 대한 교육적 논의가 이루어졌다.
