Recently, interest in multi-generational worship services has increased. However, there is a lack of research on multi-generational worship service methods. Insufficient discussion regarding preaching in multi-generational worship services especially is a reality. Based on an understanding of these worship services, the author studies the kind of sermons that should be preached and the homiletic and liturgical considerations that should be discussed in multi-generational worship. Primarily, this is a form of worship corroborated by the Bible. It can also play an important role in restoring the church community, and bridge faith differences among generations. In addition, it can be an alternative to the demographic cliff era and be a place for healing for generational conflicts. The following points should be noted. First, God is the center of worship. Second, the worship service does not mean that children just participate. Third, it is incorrect to believe that multi-generational worship services are following a new trend or are a means of church growth. The preaching in these services should be as follows. The preaching’s purpose should be consistent with the direction of the worship service, glorifying and revealing God. The sermon content should follow the direction of the sermon’s purpose. The language should be distinct and poetic, appropriate to proclaiming God’s work. The author recommends that the sermon form should correspond to the form of Bible texts. For effectively preaching in the worship services, a clear and concise message, the restoration of the visible Word by celebrating the Eucharist, and the education of the congregation is proposed.

최근 들어 세대통합예배에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 하지만 세대통합예배를 어떻게 드려야 할지에 대해서는 연구는 부족한 상태다. 특히, 세대통합예배에서의 설교에 대해서는 제대로 된 논의가 없는 것이 현실이다. 이에 필자는 세대통합예배에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 세대통합예배에서의 설교는 어떠해야 하며, 어떤 예배학적 혹은 설교학적 고려를 해야 하는지 밝히고자 한다. 우선 세대통합예배는 성경이 지지하는 예배의 형태이다. 또한 교회의 공동체성을 회복하는데 중요한 역할을 할 수 있으며, 세대 간의 신앙 간격을 해소하는 장이 될 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라 인구절벽시대의 대안으로 제시될 수 있으며, 세대갈등의 치유의 장이 될 수 있다. 세대통합예배에서 유의해야 할 점은 다음과 같다. 우선 예배의 중심이 하나님이심을 잊지 않아야 한다. 또한 단순히 어린이들과 함께 하는 예배 혹은 각 예배 순서에 각 세대들을 참여하는 예배 정도로 생각해서는 안 된다. 그리고 시대의 유행이나 교회부흥의 수단으로 생각하는 것도 옳지 않다. 세대통합예배에서의 설교는 다음과 같아야 한다. 설교의 목적은 예배의 방향성인 하나님을 높이고 하나님을 드러내는 것과 일치 되어야 하고, 설교의 내용은 그런 설교의 방향성을 따라야 한다. 설교의 언어는 명확한 언어와 더불어 하나님의 일을 선포하는데 적절한 시적 언어를 제안한다. 설교의 형식은 본문이 취하고 있는 형식을 기본적으로 따르는 것을 권한다. 세대통합예배에서의 효과적인 설교를 위해서 필자는 명확하고 간결한 메시지, 성찬예식을 통한 보이는 말씀의 회복 그리고 청중 교육을 제안한다.
