This paper analyzed the research status on Turkey studies in China during 2000 to the first half of 2017 based on the literature related to Turkey included by China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) .In addition, this paper also analyzed the general situation of domestic universities and research institutions that studies on Turkey, in order to understand the status of the research team that study on the it.The following conclusions are drawn from the analysis. First of all, Chinese scholars’ research on Turkey covers a wide range, and the focus of their attention is on the experience of Turkish modernization as well as it's diplomatic relations. Secondly, in Turkey's diplomacy, China and it’s diplomatic relations is the focus of scholars. This paper holds that the analysis of Xinjiang factors in bilateral relations between China and Turkey and the analysis of bilateral relations under the background of “One Belt And One Road” have higher academic reference value.In addition, scholars also have paid more attention to the relations between Turkey and the Arab countries and Turkey's “Oriental diplomacy” policy. Thirdly, compared with the East Asian countries and the other powers, China’s education and research institutions devoted to the study of Turkey are not popular which calls for further development.
