- This paper was to explores the cognitions level to the 3 signal words for the purpose of promote safety use and awareness about goods of consumers. It was selected 3 goods ; a smartphone, a microwave oven and a electronic rice cooker. Data were collected from questionnaries. From the study, It found that respondents are different obviousness of dangers of goods and predicted damages magnitude caused by goods dangers depending on individual goods. The respondents cognition with regard to the mapping relations among 3 signal word, the injury label and injury magnitude different from the standard. And It found that respondents are different cognition with regard to the mapping relations among 3 signal word, the injury label and injury magnitude depending on individual goods. Therefore, it is necessary to subdivide the injury label and injury magnitude with the consumer’s perspective depending on individual goods.
