The interest in health and welfare is rapidly increasing with the improvement of economic level and income increase. To meet these demands, the Medical Devices Industry is being transformed into high-value, high value-added industries. The characteristics of the Medical Devices Industry required in the recent market are as follows. First, the scope of diagnosis and treatment is required. Second, the medical field is a fusion of high-tech and technology such as high-value-added modernization, electro-mechanical, and electric-optical. For single products of medical devices under 18 months, the products of the life cycle are fast. Fourth, most countries have relatively strict regulation in accordance with policies of hygiene and health of their people compared to other industries. In particular, the Medical Devices Industry market is a large-scale industry with a wide range of industries and technologies that can be integrated with diverse technologies and technologies to supply high value-added products. Medical devices are characterized by limited demand because the end user will follow them if the institution chooses it. However, as the income level improves, the demand for medical devices tends to expand directly to general consumers. Since medical devices are very important for their expertise and reliability, it is difficult to replace them with other products once they are selected. It is difficult to enter the market, but once it is successful, it is relatively easy to maintain. Therefore, more attention should be paid to the Medical Devices Industry for the expansion of the Korean trade.

본연구는 중국 시장에 진출하기 위한 한국의 의료기기 산업에 사전에 준비하고 확인하여야할 내용을 중심으로 중국의 조례와 시장의 특수성에 관한 것이다. 중국은 아시아 태평양 지역에서 두 번째 큰 의료시장을 가지고 있고 또한 최근 고령화, 소득증대 등으로 인하여 건강에 관한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이러한 상황에서 중국 정부는 자국내 유치산업으로서 의료기기시장을 보호하면서도 동시에 급증하는 의료 선진화를 실현해야 하는 정책적 압박을 해결하고자 하였다. 따라서 비록 한중 FTA를 체결하였지만 고부가가치의 고가 수입산 의료기기 시장은 관세철폐 양허기간을 최대한 길게 유도하고, 중국내 의료기기 시장을 보호하고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 먼저 중국의 의료기기산업의 특징 및 우리나라 의료기기 기업의 대 중국 의료기기 수출현황을 중심으로 분석하고 나아가 2014년 개정된 중국의 의료기기 감독관리 조례를 중심으로 우리나라 의료기기 수출기업의 실무상 유의점을 살펴보고자 한다.
