본 연구는 1090년(元祐 5)에 찬술된 義天의 『新編諸宗敎藏總錄』(이하, 『교장총록』)에 수록된 원각경부에 편성된 주석서류에 대해 알아보고 교장총록에 수록된 『圓覺經』의 주석서를 기준으로 계통분석을 제안하였다. 교장총록에 수록된 『원각경』의 주석서 관계를 살펴보았을 때 大疏類, 略疏類, 修證儀類, 疏解類, 裵序類, 章解類 순으로 구성되어 교학과 수행을 학습할 수 있는 배치임을 알 수 있다. 기존의 『원각경』 계통분석방법에서 주석서별 계통분석을 제안하기 위해 현존본의 현황을 확인한 결과 고려후기 의천의 교장도감을 통해 『圓覺經大疏』類, 『圓覺經略疏』類, 『圓覺經修證儀』類 등이 인출 유통되었으며 조선초 세조를 통해 인출된 한문본 불서는 『교장총록』에 수록된 주석서류의 교학적 정수를 배울 수 있는 교학 불교의 명맥을 잇고 있다는데 그 의미를 부여할 수 있다. 더불어 간경도감을 통해 우리나라만의 독특한 卷首部 구성을 가진 언해본과 을유자구결본 『圓覺經略鈔』가 교학적으로나 인쇄문화적인 전형이 되어 조선후기까지 원각경주석서의 표준이 되어 인출 유통됨을 확인할 수 있었다.
