There were many korean activists in Guangzhou, China who worked with the Provisonal Government of the Republic of Korea. Among them, Kim Bong-jun, who has been involved with the Korean Independence Party and contributed to the settlement of the Korean community in Guangzhou, is representative. His address was wayaohou street 12, where the Korean Independent Party was assumed locating by Japanese documents at the time. This area is also within 100 meters of the Provisional Government Office of the Republic of Korea, which is now claimed by China. In other words, the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea at that time had a government office in the vicinity of the place where the transportation had been established and many Korean leaders were already settled. On the Chinese view, they searched for an area for government office of the Republic of Korea, where more than 100 people can work and reside in the building. It seems that Kim Bong-joon's opinion have been accepted. Also, this area seemed to be the most suitable space because there were many european buildings and it was relatively stable for foreigners to live in. Looking at the Guangzhou city survey report published in 2016, it seems that there are many European-style buildings in the present xuguyuan street. In addition, 『taidaxuebao』 examined that the Central Government Research Institute's Institute of Language and History was located at the xuguyuan street 35. Therefore, considering the suitability of the location of the building, such as traffic, building size, relationship with neighboring Chinese people living in the area, and communication with the Chinese government, the present xuguyuan Road seems to be the area where the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea in Guangzhou was located. Among them, Dongsanbaiyuan of the xuguyuan roads 12 was the most reasonable place which was considering used as the government office of the Republic of Korea in Guangzhou.

광저우에는 일찍부터 대한민국임시정부 요인들이 활동하였다. 특히 한국독립당 관련 인물이며 광저우 한인사회 정착에 기여한 김붕준은 그 대표적 인물이다. 그의 주소지가 당시 와요후가 12호였으며, 일본의 각종 문서에서도 한국독립당 위치가 현재 중국측에서 주장하고 있는 대한민국임시정부 청사와 거리상 100m 떨어져 있음을 감안할 때 교통의 요지이면서 이미 한인 지도자들이 정착하고 있던 곳에서 가까운 곳으로 임시정부청사로서 정하였던 것이다. 따라서 중국측에서도 100여 명의 인원이 사무와 거주를 함께 할 수 있는 지역을 모색한 것이며, 이미 와요후가 지역에서 활동했던 김붕준의 의견을 받아 들여, 유럽식 건물이 들어서 있고 외국인이 생활하기에 비교적 안정된 와요후가 지역이 가장 적합한 것으로 거론되었을 가능성이 크다. 2016년 광저우시의 조사 보고서를 검토한 결과, 현재 휼고원가 일대가 유럽풍의 건축물이 많이 있다는 점과 『대대학보』에서 밝힌 중앙연구원 역사언어연구소의 청사가 휼고원후가 35호였다는 점에는 이의가 없다. 이를 종합해 보면 첫째 청사의 위치의 적합성(교통, 규모, 인근 중국인생활권과의 관계, 중국정부와의 소통 등) 동산백원이 청사로 사용된 것이며, 지금 휼고원로 12번지가 그곳일 가능성이 가장 크며, 광저우 대한민국 청사로 보는 것이 타당하다고 여겨진다.
