On December 14th, 1702, 47 killers of Ako including Ooisikuranoske attacked the Kira mansion suddenly, and in February of the next year, they were ordered to commit suicide by disembowelment. And people call this incident as . And in August, 1748, 47 years after that, Ningyojoruri [Kanadehonchusingura] was performed, and it is appreciated to have compiled the previous taking as their subject matter. There have been about 300 or more research achievements about [Kanadehonchusingura] or so far; however, there has not been much comparison or analysis on Ningyojoruri as a process of improvement/development to complete [Kanadehonchusingura]. Thereupon, this article compares and analyzes [Kanadehonchusingura] and its models of Chikamatsu’s works, [Kenkohousimonomiguruma] and [Gobantaiheiki], in order to analyze their correlation with advanced works and figure out the process of ’s dramatization that the proceeding Chikamatsu’s works lead up to [Kanadehonchusingura]. As a result, Chikamatsu’s dramatization on is very significant in that it is the start of Sekai and Shuko. It is deemed that in Chikamatsu’s two works, the chief structure of [Kanadehonchusingura] including the human characters of [Taiheiki]’s Sekai and Yuranoske, the rake, Intention of the love, Tragedy of the [Yamasinahankyo], is already formed. Also, the tendencies of making Japanese plays dealing with can be summarized as follows: 1. The world of Edo Shogunate and modern plays, 2. The original theme for Joruri drama (secular conflict), 3. The progression of dramatic taste. Based on what is written above, it can be established that [Kanadehonchusingura] is a classic work that moves the public audience beyond time.
