The purpose of this study to investigate the effect of aerobic exercise on blood pressure and health related fitness in obese middle school girls. Twenty, obese(% Body fat > 30) middle school girls composed of EX(n=10), CON(n=10). The total experimental period was 12 weeks. The walking exercise program was done 5 times a week with an intensity of 40∼70% HRR. The results of this study were as follows: SBP and DBP were significantly decreased in exercise group compared to control group. %BF was significantly decreased in exercise group compared to control group. muscular strength, muscular endurance and muscular endurance were significantly increased in exercise group compared to control group. In conclusion, this newly proposed aerobic exercise modality can be a useful therapy to improve both blood pressure and health related fitness in obese middle school girls.
