Recently, Korea fell in walking fever starting from Europe Santiago pilgrimage road to Jeju olle and Jiri Mt. trail. Also, interest about a walking tour is getting heightend pursuing eco-friendly use by one form of interest on wellbeing and slow culture by a reflection about fast culture, and government as well as a local govenments are carrying forward the walking trip road all over the country. Six government deparments are concerned in the walking trip road construction business. and they are supporting local governments, so there are 390 constructed roads which are 10,246 kilometers. Local government, on the other hand, autonomously constructed 196 walking trip roads which are 6,559km(Ministry of culture, Sports and Tourism). In addition, a variety of researches about the walking trip are enforced based on Jeju olle and Jiri Mt. trail. Answering to these, Local Agenda21 for Incheon conference Incheon dulle-gil propulsion group start to constuct on Incheon dulle-gil from 2010. 9 of entire 14 courses were developed and implemented. However, Incheon has less number and courses of the walking trip road compared to capital area and other regions. Besides, an awareness of it is low and hardly has precede researches. In this study, we reviewed the actual condition of Incheon dulle-gil and domestic success cases. Furthermore, we enforced SWOT analysis method to revitalize and develop Incheon dulle-gil effectively. Through the SWOT analysis, we expected credible factors from sustainble walking triip by figuring out internal strengths and weaknesses, external opportunities and threats factors of Incheon dulle-gil. We inted to utilize by deducting the best strategy to correspond it. Incheon dulle-gil vitalize ways for sustainable walking trip are as follows. First, there are advantages that we can walk around the mountain circumference, not the top of the mountain and a proximity using the nature in the center of city, so it attracts the users. Second, it promotes history cultural road, theme trip road etc, utilizing abundant Incheon cultural history. Third, it should expand the use of field studies using ecological values. Fourth, it should restore the guide signs, mascots and improve an environment of dulle-gil by expanding the support of budget. Fifth, the name of dulle-gil should be fixed by political unification through mutual help of city and boroughs. Next, it should install independent institution to maintain the Incheon dulle-gil construction. Finally, it should diversify the users by developing the programs constantly.

이 연구의 목적은 인천둘레길의 현황과 실태를 조사하여 지속가능한 도보여행으로의 인천둘레길의 활성화 방안을 제시하는데 있다. 본 연구를 위해서 먼저 인천의제21 실천협의회 인천둘레길 추진단에서 조성하여 개 발 중인 인천둘레길의 현장을 답사하고 그 관계자들과 인터뷰 조사를 실시하였다. 그리 고 홈페이지와 지역신문 등의 기사들을 기반으로 SWOT 분석을 하였다. 연구 결과 다음 과 같은 활성화 방안을 제시하였다. 첫째, 산정상이 아닌 둘레를 걷는 장점과 도심 속의 자연을 이용할 수 있는 근접성으 로 이용자를 유인한다. 둘째, 풍부한 인천의 역사와 문화를 소재로 역사문화길, 테마여 행길 등을 적극 활용·홍보하여 역사의식과 애향심을 고취시킨다. 셋째, 생태적 가치가 높은 자연을 체험 학습장으로 확대 이용한다. 넷째, 예산의 지원을 확대하여 훼손된 안 내 표지판이나 리본 등을 교체 또는 복구하여 둘레길 환경을 개선한다. 다섯째, 시·구 와의 상호 협력을 통하여 둘레길 이름을 하나로 정착시켜 지역민들에게 인지도를 높인 다. 여섯째, 지속적인 인천둘레길 조성 유지를 위한 관리기관을 독립시킨다. 일곱째, 다양한 프로그램을 개발하여 이용자층을 확보한다.
