In this study, it was aimed to find out the background of Donghak Monyu 's lyrics and how to use dreams in his works. In Donghak, many people use dreams for their dreams and follow-up activities by using the monkeys, and they discussed what kind of backgrounds they have and what effects they want to use. I took a look at the fact that Mong Yoo's dreams are handled in some way, and discussed the background of what happened and how he achieved religious intent through it. We conclude by briefly summarizing the achievements of this paper. First, the generation of Donghak Monyu is influenced by the way in which it was mainly used in the Buddhist monks' households and Buddhist monks. The starting work of Donghak Mongyu's song, "Mongchuan no Aroma" shares much of the formal characteristics with "Gilmonga," a monkey's song of the old generation. The two works take the form of dividing a dream into a dream, a dream, and a dream, or a specific person in a dream, and receiving some contents that can be learned from them. In both works, therefore, the dream is regarded as a systematic one with complete logic. Judging from this point, the lyrics of Donghak Mongyu have a formal framework in the Sung Dae-Woo monkeys, which was created as a work in which the sisters became chiefly creative, strengthened their ideals through their dreams, and realized that the strengthened ideals had to be conveyed back to reality. It can be said that it came. However, Donghak Mongyu is filled with a definite view of enlightenment in the contents, and it was influenced more by the dream song of Buddhism that was created and circulated in the same era than the swordsmiths. Buddhist dreams tend to be created in the nineteenth century. In these works, the contents are filled with things about what state of enlightenment is and what state of enlightenment is. It is the main content of the Buddhist dreamer that the people of the world are made up of the enlightened person and the unrealized person and to convey the content of Enlightenment to them. Filled with these contents served as a background for the contents of Donghak Monyu. Next, Donghak Mongyu is realizing the intention of using dreams to solve the religious problems. The origin of the work, "Wan-myeong no Ao-myeonjae," is regarded as an answer to what is essentially an important realization in religion. Enlightenment has a mysterious element. In order to strengthen such a mystery, how systematic characteristics of a dream, such as a dream, a dream, and a dream, are linked and changed is an important concern. Therefore, in a group of works, there is a piece of work that shows the importance of the work in presenting dreams of what the state of enlightenment is. Although these works are almost universal in Dongyak Monyu, some works show interest in how enlightenment after Enlightenment should be practiced and implemented. The work with such a tendency is characterized by the fact that dream is regarded as merely sleep, and it is perceived as temporary moment of dream to be broken.

본고는 동학 몽유가사의 발생 배경과 작품에서 꿈을 활용하는 방식을 찾는데 주목적이 있다. 동학에서 몽유가 사를 활용하여 종교적 깨달음과 후속되는 활동 등에 꿈을 활용하는 작품이 많다는 점에 착안하여 그것이 어떤 배경에서 발생하여 어떤 활용을 통해 어떤 효과를 거두고자 하는지에 대한 논의를 펼친다. 몽유가사가 꿈을 어 떻게든 집어넣어 다룬다는 점에 착안하여 그것이 발생하게 된 배경은 어떤 것이 있으며 그것을 통해 종교적 의 도를 어떻게 성취해 나가는가에 주목한 것이다. 먼저 동학 몽유가사의 발생은 사대부가사와 불교가사에서 주로 활용되던 방식에 영향을 받고 있다. 동학 몽유 가사의 출발 작품인 「몽중노소문답가」는 전대에 이루어진 사대부의 몽유가사인 「길몽가」와 형식적 특성을 공유하고 있다. 두 작품은 꿈을 꿈 이전 - 꿈 - 꿈 이후 등으로 나누어 구성해 놓는다든지 꿈에서 구체적인 인물 을 만나 그로부터 어떤 교훈이 될 만한 내용을 전해 받는다든가 하는 형태를 취하고 있다. 따라서 두 작품에서 는 꿈을 완결된 논리를 갖춘 체계적인 것으로 받아들인다. 이런 점에서 판단한다면 동학 몽유가사는 사대부들 이 주로 창작자로 나서서 그들의 이념을 꿈을 통해 강화하고 그 강화된 이념이 현실에서 다시 전해져야 한다는 의도를 실현하려는 작품으로 창작된 사대부 몽유가사에서 형식적 틀을 가져왔다고 할 수 있다. 그런데 동학 몽 유가사는 내용에서 깨달음을 바라보는 시각을 확실하게 정립하는 것으로 채워져 있어 사대부 가사보다는 같은 시대에 많이 창작되고 유통되고 있었던 불교의 몽환가에서 영향을 더 받았다 하겠다. 불교의 몽환가는 19세기 에 주로 창작되는 경향을 보이는데 이들 작품에는 깨달음을 이루지 못한 상태가 어떤 것이고 깨달음을 이룬 상 태는 어떤 것인지에 대한 것들을 내용으로 구성해 놓고 있다. 세상의 사람들이 크게 깨달은 사람과 깨달지 못한 사람으로 구성되어 있고 그들에게 깨달음의 내용을 전달하려는 것이 불교 몽환가의 주된 내용을 채우고 있다. 다음으로 동학 몽유가사는 꿈을 활용하여 종교적인 문제에 대한 해결책을 마련하려는 의도를 실현하려 한다. 발생작인 「몽중노소문답가」는 종교에서 중요한 깨달음이 본질적으로 어떤 것인지에 대한 답을 꿈에서 찾은 것으로 간주한다. 깨달음은 신비한 요소를 갖고 있으니 이런 신비함을 강화하기 위해서라도 꿈이 가진 체계적 인 특성인 꿈 이전 - 꿈 - 꿈 이후 등이 어떻게 연결되고 변화하는지를 중요한 관심거리로 삼는다. 따라서 일군 의 작품에서는 깨달음의 경지가 어떤 것인지를 꿈을 활용하여 제시하는 것을 작품의 주지로 삼고 있다. 이런 작 품이 동학 몽유가사에는 거의 대부분을 차지하고 있지만 일부의 작품은 깨달음 이후의 깨달음이 어떻게 실천되 고 구현되어야 하는지에 대한 관심을 보이기도 한다. 그런 경향을 지닌 작품은 꿈을 단순히 잠에 해당하는 것으 로 보고 꿈을 깨야 할 일시적인 미몽 상태인 것으로 인식한다. 이런 경향이 동학 몽유가사에는 이어지고 있다.
