It is believed that using information technology is the best way to survive under the current business environment of small and medium-sized enterprises. The importance of using information technology is also emphasized in order for them to be successful and competitive companies in the world. Many small and medium-sized enterprises still have difficulties in using or building an efficient computerized information technology system. This study discusses the difficulties such as funds, technology, and human resources. Based on the discussions, it tries to analyze the relationships between the difficulties and organizations` characteristics or performances. It is believed that using information technology is the best way to survive under the current business environment of small and medium-sized enterprises. The importance of using information technology is also emphasized in order for them to be successful and competitive companies in the world.
