The purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of entrepreneurial orientation of CEOs and business incubators(BI)'s services on the performance of tenant firms in business incubators. We address research questions of this study as follows: Does the entrepreneurial orientation of CEOs have a direct impact to the performance of tenant firms in business incubators? Does the involvement of business incubator affect the tenant firms’ performance? For this study, data was collected on entrepreneurial orientation of CEOs, business incubator’s involvement and tenant firm's performance through surveys. Respondents providing crucial information are in CEOs and employee of tenant firms in business incubators in Korea. Hypotheses are tested using the regression analysis and moderated regression analysis. The entrepreneurial orientation and BI's services contributes to the growth and performance of tenant firms in business incubators. We could find correlation between entrepreneurial orientation and the performance. This research shows following findings: First, entrepreneurial orientation and BI's services have positive interaction with firm performance and growth. Second, the level of involvement and interaction between entrepreneurial orientation and start up companies are critical factors to help the start up companies get the efficient resources.

세계경제 위기 속에서 우리경제는 심각한 어려움에 직면해 있다. 이러한 위기를 극복하 기 위해 세계 각국은 기업가정신 문화의 확산을 통한 창업활성화의 중요성을 강조하고 있으며, 이에 대한 노력을 강화하고 있다. 창업은 기존의 시장을 대체하거나 새로운 직업군을 창출함으로써 고용확대와 경제 활성화의 중요한 역할을 담당한다. 특히, 많은 나라에서 첨단형 중소기업인 벤처기업의 창업과 육성이 중요시됨에 따라 경 영능력과 자원이 부족한 벤처기업의 성공률을 높이고자 창업보육(Business Incubator; BI) 센터를 설립 운영하고 있다.
