Collective efficacy is considered to affect group's goal and performance at the level of group as does self efficacy at the individual level. Efficacy beliefs play important roles to form the future of organizations. Efficacy belief which stem from social cognitive theory is a generative capability of cognitive, social, and behavioral skills which combine a series of actions to achieve the goals. It is individual's or group's firm beliefs to accomplish specific tasks successfully and use cognitive resources effectively. In this study, the relationship between the perception of collective efficacy and the perception of group effectiveness such as the perception of innovation orientedness of the group and the perception of group cohesiveness was statistically significant. Also, this relationship was moderated by task diversity and role clarity. I conclude this study with theoretical and managerial implications and suggestions for future research.

효능감은 ‘과업을 달성할 수 있다는 능력에 대한 믿음’을 의미하는 것으로, 행위에 영향을 주는 인지적 요인이라 할 수 있다(Bandura, 2006). 최근 효능감의 인지 결과에 대한 조직행위론 분야에서의 실증연구가 증가하고 있는데, 이러한 연구에서는 효능감이 성과를 예측하고 더 나아가 성과달성수준을 향상시킨다는 결과를 보여주고 있다(Tasa, Taggar, & Seijts, 2007; Gully, Incalcaterra, Joshi, & Beaubien, 2002).
