This study conducted concept mapping to examine the job-seeking success factors that art therapists succeeding in finding a job perceived. For this, the researcher processed the study of success factors to a job-hunting for the 18 art therapists who succeeded to get a job after applying the study method of the concept mapping into the factors. As a result, first, it was shown art therapists were recognizing the cluster of their job-seeking success factors as two dimensions: ‘subordinate-essential’ and ‘Attitude as an art therapist-attitude as a job-seeker’. Second, it was revealed the job-seeking success factors that art therapists recognized were total 6 things: ‘art therapist experience,’ ‘Art therapist preferred by the service users,’ ‘Art therapist preferred by institution,’ ‘effort to improve the art therapy professionalism,’ ‘Additional effort in addition to the art therapy professionalism,’ and 'job-seeking preparation process’. This study implies that art therapists should be accompanied by the same job-seeking preparation process as general job-seekers in addition to the art therapy ability in order to succeed in finding a job. This study is significant in terms of being able to provide the basic materials on the job-seeking program production considering the occupational distinctiveness of the art therapist by suggesting the job-seeking success factors of the art therapists which were not defined before.

본 연구는 취업에 성공한 예술기반 미술치료사들이 지각하는 취업 성공 요인을 알아보기 위하여 개념 도 연구(concept mapping)를 시행하였다. 이를 위해 연구자는 취업에 성공한 미술치료사 18명을 대상으로 개념도 연구 방법을 적용하여 미술치료사의 구직 성공 요인에 관한 연구를 진행하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 미술치료사들은 그들의 취업 성공 요인을 ‘부수적인 사항-필수적인 사항’과 ‘미술치료사로서의 태도-구직 자로서의 태도’라는 두 가지 차원으로 인식하고 있음이 밝혀졌다. 둘째, 미술치료사들이 인식하는 구직 성공 요인은 ‘구직 준비과정,’ ‘미술치료사에게 필요한 경험,’ ‘미술치료 전문성 향상을 위한 노력,’ ‘미술치 료 전문성 외 추가적 노력,’ ‘미술치료 이용자가 선호하는 미술치료사,’ ‘구직기관에서 선호하는 미술치료 사’ 총 6개이다. 이러한 결과는 미술치료사들이 취업에 성공하기 위해서 미술치료 업무 능력 이외에 일반 구직자들과 동일한 구직 준비과정이 동반되어야 함을 시사한다. 본 연구는 기존에 정의되어 있지 않던 미술치료사들의 구직 성공 요인을 제시함으로써 미술치료사라는 직업적 특수성을 고려한 구직 성공 요 인에 관한 기초자료를 제공할 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
