This study analyzed the practical aspects and characteristics of instruction strategy in elementary school teachers’ social studies class and explored its meaning in terms of implementing teacher’s instruction profession. For this purpose, 51 case study examples were selected from the videos of the best instructional videos provided by the Ministry of Education and the local Ministry of Education, and analyzed the practical patterns of instruction strategies according to the analytical frameworks centering on instructional objectives, teaching methods, and techniques. As a result, the practical aspects of instruction strategy of elementary school teachers was largely classified under five heads by ‘the presentation of teacher’s data for motivation induction’ → ‘guidance instructional objective and contents by teacher’ → ‘individual or group, whole activity’ → ‘application, supplementation, and evaluation’. In this context, the characteristics of ‘teachercentered classroom strategy’, ‘simplified classroom strategy based on survey-discussionpresentation’, ‘the implementation of the instructional strategies linked to the teaching methods’ were found.

이 논문은 초등교사의 사회과 수업 속에 나타난 수업전략 구현 양상과 특징을 분석하고 교사의 수 업전문성 구현 차원에서 그 의미를 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 교육부와 시도 교육청에서 제공한 우수수업동 영상 사이트에서 51개의 분석대상 수업사례를 선정하고 수업목표, 수업방법, 수업기법을 중심으로 한 분 석틀에 따라 수업전략 구현양상을 분석하였다. 그 결과 초등교사의 수업전략 구현양상은 크게 ‘동기유발을 위한 교사 자료 제시에 따른 문답’ → ‘교사의 목표 및 내용 안내’ → ‘개인 또는 모둠, 전체 활동’ → ‘적용, 보충, 심화 활동’ → ‘정리 및 평가’의 5단계로 유형화할 수 있었으며 이 속에서 ‘학생중심을 가장한 교사중 심 수업전략’, ‘조사-토의-발표 중심의 단순화된 수업전략’, ‘수업방법과 연계된 수업전략’ 구현의 특징을 찾을 수 있었다.
