The teaching and learning methods of Korean voice are adopted throughout the whole processes of teaching how to sing. In other words, they cover every step of singing from searching the sound to listening to the music and singing a song with special peculiarity. The primary objective of this study is to investigate the teaching and learning methods of Korean songs in the present music curriculum and the performing elementary textbooks and to introduce their applications in the music education in the elementary levels in Korea. Firstly, this study examined the contents and the teaching and learning methods of Korean Voice in each revision of the curriculum in the music education. Secondly, it investigated the methods of teaching and learning of Korean Voice in the revised music curriculum of 2007. Lastly, this study introduced a new method of teaching and learning Korean Voice on the basis of the findings from the analysis of Quegina ching ching nane. The findings from the analyses of the music curriculum and music textbooks demonstrated that both Sigimse and Garak consisting of core parts of teaching and learning of Korean Voice have not been instructed enough in terms of its amount and quality. This study proposes a new teaching and learning method of Korean Voice, which should be applied for the music education with the considerations of distinguishing characteristics, particularly, its series-attachment of the words, tunes, background of lyrics and many others. Further research is required to develop the approaches to singing Korean songs considering various views with the activities, strategies, contents, and teaching skills for Korean songs.

가창 교수ㆍ학습 방법은 노래의 맛을 잘 살려 부르기 위한 전 단계에 걸쳐 적용되는데 즉, 소리를 탐색하고 노래 를 귀로 듣고 음악적 특징을 살려 부르는 모든 단계를 총체적으로 다루고 있다. 본 연구는 음악과 교육과정 및 현행 초등학교 음악과 교과용 도서에 나타난 국악 가창 교수ㆍ학습 방법을 고찰 하고 초등학교에서의 적용 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 연구의 내용으로는 개정시기별 음악과 교육과정의 ‘내용’ 및 ‘교수ㆍ학습 방법’에 나타난 가창 관련 내용을 살펴 보고, 2007 개정 초등학교 음악과 교과용 도서에 나타난 국악 가창 교수ㆍ학습 방법을 분석하였으며, ‘쾌지나 칭 칭 나네’를 중심으로 국악 가창 교수ㆍ학습 방법의 적용 방안을 제시하였다. 현행 음악과 교육과정 및 교과용 도서를 분석한 결과, 국악 가창 지도에 있어 시김새 및 가락지도는 가장 핵심적 인 부분임에도 불구하고 그 내용이 매우 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 본고에서 제시한 국악 가창 교수ㆍ학습 과정은 말 붙임새, 특징적 가락, 가사의 배경 등 각 가창곡이 가진 고유 한 음악적 특성을 고려하여 적용되어야 할 것이다. 국악 가창 교수ㆍ학습 방법은 교수ㆍ학습 계획 및 활동, 지도법, 전략, 모형, 자료 활용법, 지도상의 유의점 등의 다양한 측면에서 후속 연구가 이루어져야 할 것으로 생각된다.
