The thesis is analyzing regarding personality, characteristics, traditional attractions and its boundaries and the expansion of the attraction of famous place focusing on the representative famous place of Edobakuhu and cherry trees that could not be covered in the first thesis. As a result, there are some existing differences that follows. The Edo attraction introduced by Asairyoi in Edomeishoki(1662) are places that focus on classical knowledge and culture that have been taken over from the past, and the guidebooks that are published afterwards introduce the sights by focusing on the present point. The famous place as Utakaura in Waka or Renga until middle ages was a famous spot for knowledge and culture of Kyuteikajin and rhetorical technique was used to express the poetic world beautifully. Edomeishoki also has such aspects. Accordingly the explanation of historical origins and sites is concentrated. On the other hand, There is attention to introduce the present Edo spot in the spot guide after Edosuzume(1677) and there is a change to grasp famous place as object visiting there. In the early 19th century, the meaning of the spot was expanded as a place to visit, eat and enjoy and it was confirmed that the most important role at that time was ‘nature’ and ‘scenery’.

本論文は、『江戸名所記』(1662)に関する初めての論文で取り扱えなかった江戸幕府を代表する名所と旧跡に焦点をあて、1)武蔵国と江戸御城、2)日本橋、3)角田川、4)三俣、5)牛込右衛門桜と渋谷金王桜についての名所としての性格とその特徴、伝統的な名所とその境界、そしてその拡張について分析してみた。 その結果、浅井了意の『江戸名所記』で紹介した江戸名所は過去から受け継いだ古典の知識と教養に重点をおいた場所であり、そのあとの出てくる多様な名所案内記は‘今’という時点に焦点をあてて名所を紹介したところに大きな違いがあった。中世時代までの和歌や連歌にみえる歌枕としての名所は宮廷歌人の知識と教養としての名所で、歌の世界を美しく表現するための修辞技法であった。『江戸名所記』にもそういった側面があって歴史的由来と史蹟の説明に集中していた。反面、『江戸雀』(1677)以後の名所案内記には、‘今の江戸の名所’を見ようとする視覚があり、直接そこへ行ってみる対象として名所を把握しようとする名所案内記の性格の変化が見えた。そして十九世紀の初めにはすでに直接訪ねて見て食べて楽しむ場所として名所の意味が拡大し、その際最も重要な要素が‘自然’と‘風光’であったことを明らかにすることができた。
