This thesis will consider the cause that an assistant verb tearu construction in Japanese has many kinds of. As a result, tearu construction is divided by a passive tearu construction and an active tearu construction generally. We can know that it comes from the tearu constructional characteristics. There are "General type" called when a main agent of an act of a main verb is concord with a main agent of an assistant verb and "Special type" called when isn't concord with In the tearu construction of them, Main agent of a main verb is a subject and main agent of an assistant verb is a object. So main agent of a main verb and an assistant verb is special type that isn't concord with. Also, due to the constructional characteristic, a process happens to have main agent of a main verb and an assistant verb concord in a meaning. When a object of an act is a subjective place, a object of an act needs a process that main agent of a main verb and an assistant verb makes concord with a object. In the process, a passive meaning is produced.
