In 1953, circle journal “Jindallae” made by Chosun residents in Japan was published up to issue 20, and included 320 poems in all. Among them, poems of Korean women in Japan were 52 and about 16% of Jindallae, and most women poets were unknown, but Lee Jeong-ja was the only poet with the special issue. This paper, therefore, focused on the work of Lee Jeong-ja as a representative of women poets. Through her poems, we examined how she viewed and expressed the age and society with a minority position of Chosun women in Japan at the age of the '50s and in the Japanese society. In addition, we examined the relation between “Jindallae” and Lee Jeong-ja. as the editorial policy of “Jindallae” changed with the political situation at that time. We examined what meaning and value Jindallae to her as a field of expression had. Lee Jeong-ja's poem published in “Jindallae” in the midst of the political situation of the 1950s contained considerably political movement and encouragement for her comrades. However, marriage led to increase in the poems of life record, which is thought to be a painful life and awareness as gender. And issue 14 was decorated with special feature of Lee Jeong-ja, but eventually the poem of Lee Jeong-ja was finalized as issue 15. The reason can be said that the anguish and conflict as a woman were greatest. In other words, it seems that it was the conflicts from disagreements of what Lee Jeong-ja expected “Jindallae” and what “Jindallae” asked Lee Jeong-ja. It can be highly evaluated that “Jindallae” gave the freedom of expression for women in still male-centered society at that time. In some ways, however, “Jindallae” was a place for free expression, but the era situation could not accommodate all expression of women yet. But as there was the only mention of Lee Jeong-ja's poem as a female poet in the criticism society of “Jindallae”, it can be said that her position and role as a woman poet in “Jindallae” was great. Lee Jeong-ja's works are considered as a valuable resource to see how to view and express the age and society at the time.
