The current study analyzes the contents and system of the domain of “music in everyday life” in the Revised National Music Curriculum of 2015 and then mainly extracts four features of teaching-learning of Korean Music as follows. First, the contents of teaching-learning of Korean music in the domain of “music in everyday life” is presented in a direction in which learners can gradually expand their music experience. By each grade group, the contents concerning ‘Korean music in everyday life’, ‘Korean music and cultural heritage’, ‘Korean music in the World’, and ‘succession and development of Korean music’ are presented in a hierarchical manner. Secondly, through the content elements of ‘music and play’, ‘music and health’, ‘music and industry’ and ‘music and work’, it allows students to practically learn various dimensions of utilizing Korean music. In the case of teaching-learning of Korean music, the aforementioned elements can be changed into ‘Korean music and play’, ‘Korean music and health’, ‘Korean music and industry’ and ‘Korean music and work’. It is needed to aim at fostering learners who can utilize and enjoy Korean music in everyday life, by developing contents and methods of teaching-learning of Korean music associated with this. Thirdly, it makes it possible to set up a place for hands-on experience of Korean music by conducting music activities in connection with events. In order to realize such education and affective contents, it is essential to widely experience Korean music-related events linked with local communities and lay a foundation for sharing the educational programs of local arts-cultural organizations. These attempts should increase opportunities for learners to experience Korean music and help them recognize values of local musical culture in everyday life. Fourthly, as the standard of achievement in the domain of “music in everyday life” takes concrete shape, groundwork, on which evaluation of teaching-learning in cognitive, affective, and behavioral domains is implemented, will be established. This integrated evaluation is believed to ultimately have an implication on the improvement of teaching-learning of Korean music in the domain of “music in everyday life”.

본고에서는 2015 개정 음악과 교육과정의 생활화 영역의 체제와 내용을 분석하여, 생활화 영역에 나타난 국악 교수․학습의 특징을 다음의 네 가지로 추출해 보았다. 첫째, 생활화 영역의 국악 교수․학습 내용은 학습자들이 국악 경험을 점진적으로 확장해 나갈 수 있는 방향으로 제시되어 있다. 학년군별로 ‘생활 속의 국악’, ‘국악과 문화유산’, ‘세계 속의 국악’, ‘국악과 계승과 발전’에 대한 내용을 위계적으로 제시하였으며, 국악 학습 경험을 통해 국악의 이해도와 가치화 정도를 높여나갈 수 있도록 하였다. 둘째, ‘음악과 놀이’, ‘음악과 건강’, ‘음악과 산업’, ‘음악과 직업’의 내용 요소를 통해 국악을 활용할 수 있는 다양한 측면을 실천적으로 학습할 수 있도록 하였다. 국악 교수․학습 상황에서는 ‘국악과 놀이’, ‘국악과 건강’, ‘국악과 산업’, ‘국악과 직업’으로 내용 요소를 변환하여 구성할 수 있을 것이다. 이와 관련된 교수․학습 내용 및 방법 개발을 통해 생활 속에서 국악을 활용하고, 즐길 수 있는 학습자를 양성하는 데 목표를 둘 필요가 있다. 셋째, 행사와 연계한 음악 활동을 전개함으로써 국악 체험의 장을 마련할 수 있게 하였다. 이러한 교육과정의 내용을 구현하기 위해서는 지역사회와 연계하여 국악 관련 행사를 폭넓게 접하고, 지역 문화예술기관의 교육 프로그램을 공유하는 토대를 구축할 필요가 있다. 이를 통해 학습자들이 국악을 체험할 수 있는 기회가 확대되고, 지역 음악문화의 가치를 생활 속에서 인식할 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다. 넷째, 생활화 영역의 성취기준이 구체화됨에 따라 인지적․정의적․행동적 영역의 교수․학습 평가가 실행될 수 있는 기반이 마련된 것으로 보인다. 앞으로 생활화 영역의 평가는 국악에 대해 알아야 할 것, 국악에 대해 지녀야 할 태도, 국악 활동의 실천적 측면이 통합적으로 이루어질 필요가 있다. 이러한 통합적 평가는 궁극적으로 생활화 영역의 국악 교수․학습을 개선하는 데 영향을 미칠 것으로 본다.
