The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for liberal arts curriculum development and student guidance through surveys on the relationships between vocational key competencies and sub-competencies of college students. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, 10 vocational key competency domains and 34 sub-competency domains were designated as research variables, and hypotheses were formulated with the variables. To verify research hypotheses, the survey responses received from 442 students of K college in Kyunggi-do were analysed. Results of the analysis revealed the following: First, the average score of vocational key competency domains was high in vocational ethics and interpersonal ability, and was low in information ability and skill ability. Second, multiple regression analysis was performed to analyze the relationships between vocational key competencies and sub-competencies. The sub-competencies that have the strong impact on the 10 vocational key competencies are the ability of listening, chart analysis ability, thinking, self-awareness ability, budget management ability, negotiation ability, computer literacy, technical understanding ability, management understanding ability, and labor ethics. The results of this study are expected to help find effective ways of cultivating and developing vocational key competencies based on the understanding of the causal relationships between vocational key competencies and sub-competencies.

본 연구의 목적은 전문대학생의 직업기초능력 수준과 영향관계에 관한 실태조사를 통해 교양교과목으로서의 직업기초능력 교육과정 편성과 학생지도를 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는 데 있다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 직업기초능력 10개와 하위능력 34개를 연구변수로 설정하고, 가설을 설정하였다. 연구가설을 검증하기 위하여 경기도 소재 K대학 442명의 설문조사를 분석하였다. 분석결과를 살펴보면, 우선, 직업기초능력 평균 점수는 직업윤리, 대인관계능력 순으로 높게 나타났으며, 정보능력, 기술능력 순으로 낮게 나타났다. 둘째, 다중회귀분석을 실시하여 직업기초능력과 하위능력 간의 영향관계를 분석하였다. 직업기초능력 10개에 가장 강한 영향을 미치는 하위능력은 경청능력, 도표분석능력, 사고력, 자아인식능력, 예산관리능력, 협상능력, 컴퓨터활용능력, 기술이해능력, 경영이해능력, 근로윤리 등으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 직업기초능력과 하위능력 간의 영향관계에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 직업기초능력의 함양과 개발을 위한 효율적 방안을 모색하는데 기여하였다.
