The goal of this paper is threefold: Firstly, to look at the study trends of secularization theory. Secondly, to presents X-Secular Scale which measures Personal Secularization of Christianity. Thirdly, to empirically analyzes secularization cycle how South Korea Christianity is secularization. Korean society currently have the character of the multi-cultural and multi-religious society, but in the future I will be seen in the complex secularized society which together is the neo-liberal order system. The individual theory of Secularization is how in the secular society individual show secularized process, that is, secularization cycle. This word is that in religion individuals and groups both have a constant cycle(or pattern) such as 'enter-growth-maturity-decline period'. Specifically secularization cycle was through the process which is 'believer -within-belonging'(or teenager's cohort group), 'believer-without-belonging(or college life's cohort group), 'belong's person-without-believing'(or employment preparation and workplace life's cohort group), 'Religious atheist/unbeliever'(or marriage and family life's cohort group). In conclusion, our society itself is systematic structure that produce 'religious atheist', and means to is structure to indicate that the secular society affects individuals secularization. In other words, 'believer -within-belonging' is likely to very high be either 'believer-without-belonging' or 'Religious atheist'. Such materials can be us to enrich that the secularization strategically can respond South Korea Christianity pastoral thinking.

한국사회는 다문화 다종교 사회의 성격을 갖고 있지만, 미래에는 신자유주의 질서체계가 합쳐진 복잡한 세속화사회가 전망된다. 이러한 사회는 정치, 경제, 사회, 문화가 종교뿐 만 아니라 개인과 사회에 직간접적으로 영향을 줄 것이다. 이와 같은 세속화와 그 주기를 실증적으로 파악할 수 있다면, 복잡한 세속화사회는 한국 기독교에게 있어서 성장의 기회가 될 수 있다. 한국기독교의 다음세대는 사회적으로 세속화사회에 놓여있고, 개인적으로 다문화 다종교 사회 상황에서 ‘어떻게 종교적 신앙주의를 유지할 수 있는가’ 하는 것에 따라 그들의 미래가 좌우 될 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 기독교 세속화(Personal Secularization of Christianity)를 측정하기 위해 세속화 측정도구(X-Secular Scale)을 개발하였고, 개발된 측정도구를 가지고 한국사회에서 다음세대(1981년-2001년생)의 세속화 정도에 대한 개인별 측정을 실시하고 기독교 세속화주기에 대한 세대별 실증분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 세속화 측정도구 6항목을 개발하였으며, 그 측정도구를 통해 《소속 없는 신앙인(중고등학생 출생동시집단) → 신앙 없는 소속인(대학생활 출생동시집단) → 소속 있는 신앙인(취업준비 및 직장생활 초기 출생동시집단) → 종교적 무신론자(결혼과 가정생활 초기 집단)》과 같은 다음세대의 세속화 주기를 발견하였다. 또한 한국사회의 사회적 시스템 자체가 ‘종교적 무신론자’를 양산하는 구조인 것과 더 나아가 이렇게 구조화 된 세속화사회가 미래세대의 개인적 세속화에 영향을 미치는 것을 발견하였다.
