The purpose of this study is to conduct art therapy program with DRI for the mentally retarded showing aggressive behavior to see its effect on the reduction in aggressive behavior and the effect is continuable. Two of mentally retarded with aggressive behavior were selected for the study, and multiple baseline design was applied as single subject design.Test was carried out from Feb 5 to May 14, 2~3 times a week, 15-s partial interval recording method of the subjects' target behaviors for observation and measurement . Below are the conclusion obtained through the analysis of this study. First, the Art therapy program with DRI reduced the aggressive behavior of mentally retarded people positively. Second, The effect of the Art therapy program with DRI on the reduction of the aggressive behavior of mentally retarded people lasted until after the therapy had finished. This study concludes that " the art therapy intervention program with DRI" is influential on the reduction in the aggressive behavior of mentally retarded people and the effect was continuable. Accordingly, the application of such intervention program is expected to reduce problematic behavior of the mentally retarded people, raise learning effect at academic institutions and induce them to do advisable behavior in daily life which will affirmatively influence on the increase in their sociality.

본 연구는 공격성행동을 보이는 지적장애인을 대상으로 차별강화(DRI)를 실시한 미술치 료 프로그램을 적용하여 지적장애인의 공격성행동에 감소에 효과가 있는지를 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구방법은 공격성행동을 나타내는 지적장애인 2명을 대상으로 중다기초 선설계를 적용하였다. 대상별 중재단계는 대상A는 기초선 단계 4회기, 중재단계 20회기, 유 지단계 5회기로 진행하였으며, 대상B는 기초선 단계 6회기, 중재단계 18회기, 유지단계 7회 기의 프로그램을 적용하여 중재의 효과를 관찰하였다. 처지는 일주일에 2∼3회기로 실시하 였으며 연구대상의 표적행동을 15초 간격의 부분간격 기록법을 사용하여 관찰 측정하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 분석하여 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 차별강화(DRI)의 상반된 행 동에 의한 미술치료 프로그램은 지적장애인의 공격성행동 감소에 긍정적인 효과를 나타내 었다. 둘째, 차별강화(DRI)의 상반된 행동에 의한 미술치료 프로그램을 적용한 지적 장애인 의 공격성행동 감소 효과는 처치기간이 끝난 후에도 그 효과가 유지되었다. 본 연구를 통 해 “차별강화의 상반된 행동에 의한 미술치료 프로그램 중재”는 지적장애인의 공격성 행동 을 감소시키며, 감소 결과는 유지에도 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다.
