This study is a research on the types of power of teachers in the learning community. For this purpose, 5 video tapes were analyzed. The framework for analyzing the types of teachers' power has developed French & Raven (1960)'s research. French & Raven's five types of power were coercive power, reward power, legitimate power, reference power, and expert power. But this study use only three types of coercive / reward power, legitimate power, and expert power. As a result of the study, it was mostly found that expert type of power appeared in community lesson of learning, followed by legitimate type of power. And there is no coercive / reward power type. And the way in which expert power and legitimate power are exercised is shown to be a somewhat different pattern from that used in the existing classroom. It seems to be highly related to learning through the philosophy of learning community. The results of this analysis discussed the implications of teachers' power types in pursuing the learning community philosophy.

이 연구는 배움의 공동체 수업에서 나타나는 교사의 권력 유형에 관한 연구이다. 이를 위 해 배움의 공동체 수업 5개를 녹화한 비디오를 관찰 및 전사하여 분석하였다. 교사의 권력 유형을 분석하기 위한 틀은 French & Raven(1960)의 교사의 권력 기반에 따른 권력 유형을 통해 분석 틀을 개발하였다. French & Raven이 주장한 권력 유형은 강압적 권력, 보상적 권 력, 합법적 권력, 준거적 권력, 전문적 권력의 5가지 였으나 본 연구에서는 강압/보상적 권력, 합법적 권력, 전문적 권력의 세가지 유형만을 찾아내었다. 연구 결과 배움의 공동체 수업에서 는 전문적 권력 유형이 가장 많이 나타났으며, 그 다음으로 합법적 권력 유형이 많이 나타났 고 강압/보상적 권력은 나타나지 않았다. 그리고 전문적 권력과 합법적 권력이 발휘되는 형태 도 기존 교실에서 발휘되는 것과는 다소 다른 양상으로 발휘되었는데, 이는 배움의 공동체의 철학인 관계를 통한 배움과 높은 연관이 있는 것으로 생각된다. 이런 분석결과를 통해 배움 의 공동체 철학을 추구하는 교사의 권력 유형이 학교 현장에 줄 수 있는 시사점에 대해 논의 하였다.
