This paper investigates the economic impact of Chonbuk National University on its regional economy by using 2013 regional input-output table published by bank of Korea. Type I output effects which account only the inter-industry effect of an initial change in final demand were calculated as 476 billion Won. Type I employment effects were 5,096 persons. However, Type Ⅱoutput effects which account for both the inter-industry and household spending induced effects were calculated as 546.1 billion Won. Type Ⅱemployment effects were 5,927 persons. The impact of an increase in labor productivity due to employed graduate students on Gross Regional Domestic Product was estimated as 5.2 billion Won.

본 연구에서는 2013년 지역산업연관표를 사용하여 지역거점 국립대학인 전북대학교가 전북지역 경제에 미치는 유발효과를 분석하였다. 산업 간의 직접 및 간접 효과만을 포함하는 Type I 생산유발효과는 4,760.5억원, 취업유발효과는 5,096명으로 추정되었고 지역주민의 가계지출에 의한 유도효과까지 포함하는 Type II 생산유발효과는 5,460.8억원, 취업유발효과는 5,927명으로 추정되었다. 대학 졸업생의 지역 내 취업에 의한 노동생산성 증가효과는 51.8억원인 것으로 나타났다.
