This study contributes to the study of entrepreneurship by presenting the results of the empirical analysis of the relationship between the entrepreneus’competence, organizational culture, collaboration and government supports for entrepreneurship on technological competitiveness and corporate performance of technology start-ups. This study examines various factors affecting the performance of technology start-ups including the entrepreneurs’ competence, organizational culture, collaboration and government supports. Data were collected from the survey on technology start-ups. Survey data of 128 respondents were analysed using the structural equation modeling. Empirical results show that the entrepreneurs’ competence, organizational culture, collaboration and government supports positively influences technological competitiveness; and technology competitiveness affects the performance of start-ups. We used the researcher 's background, gender, and academic ability as control variables, but did not affect the research results. As a result of analyzing the mediating effect through the path analysis, it was found that the influence factors of the entrepreneurial who are the independent variables indirectly affect corporate performance of technology start-ups through mediating factors of technical competitiveness. Furthermore, most of the papers related to the existing technology start-up companies focus on specific factors such as the entrepreneur's personal capacity, personal characteristics, and network environment. Moreover, there are not many researches systematically approached such as internal resources of technology start-up companies, organizational culture, collaboration and government supports. The academic contribution of this study is as follows: First, it reflects the characteristics of technological entrepreneurship and is considered as mediating effect of technological competitiveness. Second, we examined the individual aspect and team aspect of the entrepreneurial through the internal factors of entrepreneurial teams, entrepreneurial capacity, organizational culture of start-up team and external factors, collaboration and government supports. Third, we conducted an empirical analysis of ETRI's start-up companies, which are representative government-funded research institutes.

본 연구는 기술창업기업의 창업환경요소인 창업자의 역량과 조직문화, 외부협력, 창업지원활용이 기술경쟁력과 기업성과간의 관계를 실증 분석한 결과를 제시하여 창업연구에 기여한다. 본 연구는 창업자의 역량, 조직 문화, 외부협력 및 창업지원을 포함한 기술 창업 기업의 성과에 영향을 미치는 다양한 요인을 알아보았다. 데이터는 기술창업 관련 128명의 설문 조사를 통해 응답한 자료를 회수하여 구조 방정식 모델링을 통해 분석하였다. 실증분석 결과에 따르면 창업자의 역량, 조직 문화, 외부협력 및 창업 지원은 기술 경쟁력에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤고 기술 경쟁력은 창업 기업의 성과에도 영향을 주었다. 통제변수로 연구원 출신여부, 성별, 학력 등을 사용했지만 연구결과에 영향을 미치지 못했다. 또한 경로분석을 통해 매개효과 분석을 한 결과, 독립변수인 창업자의 영향요인은 기술경쟁력이라는 매개요인을 통해 간접적으로 기업성과에 영향을 미치고 있다는 것을 알게 되었다. 이와 함께 대부분의 기존 기술창업기업 관련 논문들이 창업가 개인역량 및 개인적 특성, 네트워크 환경 등 특정한 요인들에 초점을 둔 연구가 대부분이다. 또한 기술 창업기업의 내부 자원, 조직문화, 외부 협력, 창업지원 활용 등 체계적으로 접근한 연구는 많지 않은 상황이다. 이에 따른 본 연구의 학술적 기여부분으로는 첫째, 기술창업의 특성을 반영하여 기술경쟁력의 매개효과로 보았다. 둘째, 창업팀 들의 내부적인 요소인 창업자 역량, 창업팀 조직문화와 외부적 요소인 외부협력, 창업지원 활용을 통해 창업자 개인적인 면과 팀적인 면을 살펴보았다. 셋째, 대표적인 정부출연연구기관인 ETRI의 창업기업들을 대상으로 실증분석을 하였다.
