- As can be seen from expressions such as senkecencayng ‘election-war,' mwuyekcencayng ‘trade-war,' and hyepsangcencayng ‘negotiation-war,' there are many domains that are metaphorically linked to war. When we call an activity a “war,” we are suggesting that the participants in the activity need to battle an opponent to win. Other war-related expressions such as censwul ‘war strategy,' and cenlyak ‘war strategy,’ have been applied to these domains as well. One such expression that has appeared recently is chongalcangcen ‘bullet loading.’ A close examination of the applications of this metaphorical expression reveals what is considered a ‘bullet’ in each domain—the essential element that leads to victory in the metaphorical battle. Depending on the domain, the ‘bullet' element differs, showing that the same metaphor can create different frames.
