Division of the nations history in 66 years, due to the Korean was, created millions of casualitie and number of seperated families. And after war, the fierce hatred between the two countries, have threatened the Korean peninsula and also Northeast Asia. Unquestionably, the ideological confrontation between the powers that are facing in the opposite camp arouses a strong interest of the many scholars. Having correct knowledge about Korean war, therefore, is worth to understanding domestic and international circumstance including the entire situation. Among them, We study examining a reason that intervention of China in the Korean war and a progressing effects to Korean peninsula. However, most related documents are the west centered rather than data of China that combatant nation, so the are quite limited before. But with open atmosphere in China in 1980s, the memoirs, official diplomatic documents and military documents from generals and diplomats who had an important role in the Korean war and publications from people involved in a major decision progress in China are pressed thereby the more data from China is started to become available. Therefore, the result intervention of the China in the Korean war, becomes a turning point to history of an international war and causes arms race and expansion of the NATO(North Atlantic Treaty Organization). The Korean war, the last war in Korean peninsula, should be the last war from now on and needs more attention to study. In addition, the research that history of the war and military force organization of combat which can contribute to enhancing must be revitalized centering around military forces and academic studies.

6·25전쟁으로 인한 66년에 걸친 우리나라의 분단 역사는 수백만의 사상자와 수많은 이산 가족을 만들어 냈으며, 전쟁 이후에도 전쟁이 만들어낸 남과 북 사이의 격렬한 증오는 때때 로 한반도는 물론 동북아시아를 위협해 오고 있다. 재론할 필요도 없이 서로 반대 진영에 대치된 열강들 사이의 이념적인 대결은 많은 학자들의 지대한 관심을 불러일으킨다. 그러므로 6.25전쟁에 관한 정확한 지식을 이해하는 것은 국내 및 국제적인 상황을 비롯 하여 전체 적인 상황을 이해하는데 매우 중요한 가치가 있다. 그 중에서도 우리는 중국이 6·25 전쟁에 개입하게 된 요인과, 그 경과를 살펴보며 결론적인 부분과 한반도에 끼친 영향 을 연구하고자 한다. 하지만 1980년 이전에는 참전국이었던 중국의 자료가 아니라 서방 중심의 관련 자료가 대부분이었고 연구 자료도 상당히 제한되는 상황이었다. 1980년대에 들어 중국의 개방 분 위기와 함께 6․25전쟁 당시 중요한 역할을 했던 장성, 외교관들의 회고록과 공식외교 및 군사문서 그리고 당시 중국의 주요 정책결정 과정에 참여했던 사람들의 출판물이 출간됨으 로써 중국에서도 6․25전쟁에 대한 좀 더 많은 자료가 나오기 시작 하였다. 따라서 중국이 6․25전쟁에 개입하게 된 결과는 국제 전쟁사에 있어서 중요한 전환점이 되었으며 전쟁결 과 군비경쟁과 북대서양 조약기구의 확대 및 군사화를 초래하기도 하였다. 6․25전쟁은 한 반도에서 발생한 마지막 전쟁이며 앞으로도 그래야 한다는 논리에서 보다 많은 관심이 집중 되어야 할 연구 분야이다. 또한 군과 학계를 중심으로 전쟁사 연구와 더불어 군 조직의 전 투력 향상에 기여할 수 있는 전투사의 연구도 더욱 활성화 되어야한다.
