The purpose of this study was to identify the mediating effect of covert narcissism between Interpersonal Problems and SNS addiction proneness. And the study seeks to provide basic data for teaching and counseling at the ministry and educational sites. It was conducted to measure covert narcissism, interpersonal problems, and SNS addiction proneness from 318(139 male, 179 female) Christian university students. Using SPSS WIN 21.0, correlation analysis and the mediation regression analysis presented by Baron & Kenny were conducted. The analyzed findings are as follows. First, interpersonal problem was positively correlated with SNS addiction proneness. Second, interpersonal problems directly affect SNS addiction proneness. Third, All lower variables(need for recognition, exploitation and egocentrism, lack of confidence, goal instability, sensitiveness vulnerability) of covert narcissism has a partial mediating effect between interpersonal problem and SNS addiction proneness. Namely Interpersonal problem had indirect effects SNS addiction proneness through the mediation of the lower variables of covert narcissism. The results of this study are not dissimilar to the results of the preceding study of general university students. Implications of these results were explored in relation to the importance of interpersonal problems and SNS addiction proneness. Finally, limitations of the study, directions for future research were extensive qualitative research and research programs should be conducted.

본 연구의 목적은 기독대학생의 대인관계 문제와 SNS 중독경향성의 실태를 파악하고 내현적 자기애의 매개효과를 검증함으로 목회 및 교육현장에서 기독대학생들을 지도와 상담할 때에 적용할 수 있는 기초 자료를 제공하는 데 있다. 본 연구를 위하여 서울시 소재 대학에 재학 중인 기독대학생 318명을 대상으로 자기보고식 질문지를 이용하여 조사한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대인관계 문제는 SNS 중독경향성과 정적 상관이 있다. 둘째, 대인관계 문제는 SNS 중독경향성에 직접적으로 영향을 미친다. 셋째, 내현적 자기애의 모든 하위변인인 인정욕구, 착취 및 자기중심성, 소심 및 자신감부족, 목표불안정, 과민취약성은 대인관계 문제와 SNS 중독경향성에 부분매개효과가 있다. 즉, 대인관계 문제는 SNS 중독경향성에 내현적 자기애의 모든 하위변인을 매개로 간접적인 영향을 미치고 있었다. 기독대학생들의 대인관계 문제가 SNS 중독경향성에 영향을 미친다는 본 연구의 결과는 일반 대학생들을 대상으로 한 선행연구의 결과와 크게 다르지 않았다. 이러한 결과로 기독대학생들의 대인관계 문제를 감소시키는 것이 SNS 중독경향성을 감소시키는데 중요한 역할을 한다는 것을 알 수 있다. 후속연구에서는 심층적인 질적연구와 각종 프로그램 연구가 실시되어야 할 것이다.
