The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of participation level of children on subjective quality of life through the analysis of the participation rights perceived by children and suggest the practical and political alternatives for expanding children's participation rights. Main findings that resulted from a survey of 3,305 children in A-gu, Seoul showed that the level of participation of the children affected both the subjective quality of life - life satisfaction, happiness, parent-child relationship, and student life satisfaction. The happiness, parent-child relationship, and student life satisfaction level of the child is higher as the children perceives the level of participation is higher, live with both parents, perceive the level of family's economic situation is higher, attend the school for educational welfare, and perceive the level of academic achievement is higher. The life satisfaction level of the child is higher as the children perceives the level of participation is higher, live with both parents, perceive the level of family's economic situation is higher, attend the school for educational welfare, and perceive the level of academic achievement is higher. Based on the findings, we suggested practical and political implications to ensure the participation right of child.

본 연구는 아동이 인식하는 참여권 실태 분석을 통해 아동의 참여권 수준이 주관적 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 검증하고, 이를 통해 아동의 참여권 확대를 위한 실천적·정책적 대안을 제시하고자 한다. 연구목적을 위해 서울시 노원구에 거주하는 아동 3,305명의 조사결과를 최종 분석에 사용하였다. 연구결과에 따르면, 아동의 참여권 수준은 아동의 주관적 삶의 질 즉, ‘삶의 만족도, 행복도, 부모-자녀관계, 학생생활만족도’에 모두 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 즉, 아동의 참여권 수준이 높을수록, 양쪽부모와 함께 살며, 가족의 경제상황을 높은 수준으로 인식할수록, 교육복지를 시행하는 학교에 다니며, 자신의 성적이 높다고 인식할수록 아동의 ‘행복도, 부모-자녀관계, 학생생활만족도’가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 단, 삶의 만족도의 경우는 아동의 참여권 수준이 높을수록, 남자아동이, 양쪽부모와 함께 살며, 가족의 경제상황을 높은 수준으로 인식할수록, 자신의 성적이 높다고 인식할수록 더 높았다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 아동의 참여권 보장을 위한 실천적·정책적 제언을 제시하였다.
