The purposes of this study were to identify factors influencing fear of crime victimization among the social integration factors of community by the entire respondents and also female, disabled, and elderly respondents, as well as find directions for social welfare professionals to practice local social welfare. For those purposes, the study used the raw data of Korean Crime Victim Survey(Kim Eun-gyeong et al., 2014) conducted as part of National Survey on the Safety of People's Lives and included the data of 7,877 in analysis after excluding the ones containing missing values about the variables employed in the study from those of total 13,317. Collected data were analysis with SAS 9.4 and HLM 6.0 for multilevel model analysis to meet the research objectives. The main findings were as follows: first, the fear of crime level was mean 2.41, 2.85, 2.16, and 2.10 points for the entire, female, disabled, and elderly respondents, which indicates that women had the highest level of fear of crime. Secondly, both local ties and unofficial control participation had positive(+) relations with local economy, participation rate in economic activities, employment rate, number of businesses, duration of residence, and mobility of population and negative(-) relations with unemployment rate and settlement rate. There were positive(+) relations between local ties and unofficial control participation. Finally, the entire respondents decreased in general fear of crime according to rising local ties, which matched the tendency of social integration model. The respondents with disabilities increased in general fear of crime victimization according to the rising number of businesses, which did not match the tendency of the model. No statistical significance was found in the other factors. In efforts to reduce fear of crime victimization, social welfare practice professionals need to practice customized local social welfare to promote social integration by developing and running social welfare projects fit for the circumstances of community such as community movements and village making projects and enhancing the community ties in cooperation with the local residents.

본 연구는 지역사회의 사회통합 요인 중 범죄피해 두려움에 영향을 미치는 요인이 무엇인지 전체응답자와 여성, 장애인, 노인을 대상으로 살펴보고, 그 근거로 사회복지전문가의 지역사회복지 실천 방향을 모색하는데 연구목적이 있다. 본 연구를 위해『전국범죄피해조사』(김은경 외, 2014)의 원자료를 활용하여 연구에서 사용된 변수에서 결측값이 있는 응답자는 제외하고, 총 7,877명의 자료를 분석하였다. 그리고 SAS 9.4와 다층모형 분석을 위한 HLM 6.0을 사용하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 일반적 범죄피해 두려움의 수준은 전체응답자(평균 2.41점), 여성(평균 2.85점), 장애인(평균 2.16점) 그리고 노인(평균 2.10점)으로 여성의 범죄피해 두려움이 가장 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 지역유대와 비공식통제 참여 모두 지역경제와 경제활동참가율, 고용률, 사업체수, 거주기간, 인구이동성과 정(+)적 관계이지만 실업률과 정주율과는 부(-)적 관계를 나타냈고, 지역유대와 비공식통제 참여 간에는 정(+)적 관계를 나타냈다. 셋째, 전체응답자의 경우 지역유대가 증가하면 일반적 범죄피해 두려움이 감소하여 사회통합 이론과 일치하였고, 장애인의 경우 사업체수가 증가하면 일반적 범죄피해 두려움이 증가하여 사회통합 이론과 일치하지 않았다. 그리고 그 외의 요인은 모두 통계적으로 유의미하지 않았다. 따라서 범죄피해 두려움을 낮추기 위해서는 사회복지실천전문가가 지역주민과 함께 지역공동체 운동과 마을 만들기 사업 등 지역사회 실정에 맞는 사회복지 사업을 개발 및 운영하고, 지역유대감을 증진시켜 사회통합을 높이는 맞춤식 지역사회복지 실천이 요구된다.
