韓・日男性作家の作品に表れている美学的な死(Ⅰ) ‒ 谷崎潤一郎と金東仁の作品を中心に ‒
The aesthetic death to be described in works by male writers between Korea and Japan(1) - Focusing on the works by Tanizaki Junichiro and by Kim Dong-In -
The objective of article is to grasp the meanings of the death which is described in the literatures by male writers between Korea and Japan, by which I try to find the differences and something in common focusing on “Gold Color Death” and “Furious Flame Sonata” as the representatives Tanizaki describes the beauty as something strong using female body beauty in an early stage. But, he adds an element of death for pursuit of beauty from middle term. In his work, “Gold Color Death”, Okamura tries to apply gold foil to his own living body at the “artificial heaven”to create a momentary art, but after all, he chokes and dies. Kim Dong-In expresses the death as being generated from a social reflection of those days, Confucian factor and the conflict by jealousy and poverty in an early stage, But in a 1930’s work, “Furious Flame Sonata”, he draws the birth of wild-furious music through corrupted and decadent death. Furthermore, he approves that the murder could be committed to produce creative music. From analyzing the above two works, we can understand that there is something in common to describing the aesthetics of death between two male writers, but a difference in that Okamura in “Gold Color Death”shows “a neutral beauty of death” and Back Sung-Soo in “Furious Flame Sonata” creates “strong beauty of death”
