The Spring of 1932 and Kokukoku are both based on the true story of Yuriko’s arrest on April 7, 1932 and her subsequent experience until June 25 as part of a crackdown on the Japanese proletarian culture league. From these two works, we can see that female proletarian authors support literary circles for the enlightenment of and protection of the rights and interests of female laborers. It also exposes the instabilities in society such as subway union strikes, Labor Day demonstrations, the assassination of Tsuyoshi Inukai, etc. Above all, it portrays the Japanese invasion of Manchuria as an irrational act, and expresses discontentment over the resulting great repression of the proletarian culture league. Especially it demonstrates a strong sense of comradeship by depicting in detail how Kondo Dairiki dies as a result of not receiving proper medical care, and on the other hand reports the inhumane abuses going on in the jails. Furthermore, it describes the unlawful acts of the special police who elicit false confessions from the mother of by placating her.

｢1932년의 봄｣과 ｢시시각각｣은 유리코가 일본 프롤레타리아 문화연맹에 대한 탄압으로 1932년 4월7일 검거되어 6월 25일까지의 체험을 그린 작품으로 등장인물과 장소는 모두 실명이다. 이 두 작품에서 여성 프롤레타리아 작가들이 여성노동자들의 계몽과 권익보호를 위한 문학 서클을 지원하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 그리고 지하철 동맹파업, 노동절 데모, 이누카이 쓰요시의 암살사건 등 불안정한 사회상도 함께 알리고 있다. 무엇보다 만주 침략전쟁은 이성적인 행동이 아니며, 그로인해 프롤레타리아 문화연맹의 대 탄압으로 이어진 것에 불만을 토로한다. 특히, 곤노 다이리키가 치료를 제대로 받지 못해 죽음을 맞이하는 모습을 상세하게 그려 강한 동지애를 보이면서도 한편으로는 유치장에서 행해지는 비인간적인 학대를 고발하고 있다. 또한 <나>의 어머니까지 회유하여 거짓고백 유도하는 특고경찰의 비합법적인 행동도 밝히고 있다.
