The act is to create the life of the character through the heart of the actor who plays the character in the play and through the physical tools of the actor. So, in order to put a living breath into the character, to make the heart of the actor jump, the actor's body needs to be actively trained to make the body react. The essence of aesthetic acting art is the moment of actor moment inside actor, the breath of life that heart beats, and the foundation of articulated training gives inner and outer stimulus to actors, It is an exercise that provides a stimulus to create self and sincerity. In other words, it means that living breathing is accompanied by sound and metabolism, and vibrates in the breath to lead the body to move and respond. I would like to emphasize the importance of acting training for live breathing, live acting, the problem of still existing acting and the methodology of acting training for solving it. In addition, the problems of domestic acting instruction and acting education are explained in comparison with the case of the United States, and suggestions for effective acting education are presented.

연기는 희곡 속 인물의 역할을 하는 배우의 심장을 통해 그리고 배우의 신체 도구를 통해 인물의 생명을 탄생하게 하는 것이다. 그래서 인물에 살아있는 호흡을 넣어주기 위해, 배우의 심장을 뛰게 하기 위해, 배우의 신체가 반응하게 하기 위해 연기술, 연기훈련이 요구되는 것이다. 미학적 연기 예술의 핵심을필자는 연기하는 순간순간 배우 내면의 움직임이고, 심장이 뛰는 살아있는 호흡을 만드는 것이고, 연기술 훈련의 기초는 배우들에게 내·외적 자극을 주어 그 자극 안에서의 진실한 반응, 내적자아와 진정성창조하도록 하는 자극제를 제공하는 연습이라고 말하고자 한다. 즉, 살아있는 호흡에 소리와 대사가 실리게 하고 그 호흡에 진동되어 신체가 움직이고 반응하도록 이끄는 것을 의미한다. 필자는 산 호흡, 살아있는 연기를 위해 연기 훈련의 의의와 여전히 존재하는 연기의 문제점 그리고 그 해결을 위한 연기훈련의 방법론을 중심으로 글을 설명하고자 한다. 또한 국내 연기 지도와 연기교육의 문제점에 대해서도 미국의 경우와 비교하여 설명하였고, 효과적인 연기 교육을 위한 방안을 제시하고자 한다.
