Even though university is the most important process in life as a preparation process of advancing into society after completing the school education, there are insufficient facility and system for welfare of university students as schools not being able to provide active help when university students are going through various difficulties with studies and career. Specially, the issue of career decision is a more urgent and specific matter to university students that a phenomenon of changing course as dropping out of school, changing major, transfer, and preparing for civil service is happening more frequently due to the increased number of university students who are experiencing difficulties with career decision. Therefore, by investigating the influencing factors on changes in career, values, and satisfaction level of university students with university life, this study intends to investigate factors that can help with selection and decision of career of university students to provide helpful information in counseling and career-decision making that considered characteristics and situational context of university students and to obtain implications of career guidance strategy. First, in order to achieve this objective, this study reviewed the key theoretical background and precedent studies on career, values, and satisfaction level of university students with university life, secondly, difference in career, value, and satisfaction level of university students with university life was investigated by year(2013∼2016), and lastly, this study investigated difference in career of university students and satisfaction with university life according to their value based on the latest data of 2016. According to the result, it was identified that university students consider health most importantly for happiness of life than happy family and economic stability, and in research on influencing factors of successful career and employment, they placed a high importance on aptitude and interest because the boundary of importance of major crumbled down and they can determine the direction of career by their own will through education anywhere and at any time. It was identified that university students look into their characteristics and aptitude for career decision, acquire various information on the right career and employment for them, and put effort to decide their career through various experiences as field experience and education before they decide their career.

대학생 시기는 학교 교육을 마치고 사회로 진출하는 준비과정으로 인생에서 가장 중요한 과정인데 도 불구하고 대학생들은 학업과 진로 등 다양한 어려움을 겪게 되어도 학교 내에서는 적극적인 도움을 주지 못하는 등 대학생들의 복지를 위한 시설과 제도가 미약한 실정이다. 특히 진로결정에 관한 문제는 대학생들에게는 더욱 절실하고 구체적인 과제로 진로결정의 어려움을 겪고 있는 대학생이 늘어나게 되 면서 자퇴, 전과, 편입, 공무원 준비 등 진로변경을 하는 현상이 빈번하게 일어나고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 대학생들의 진로와 가치관의 변화 및 대학생활 만족도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연 구를 통해 대학생들의 진로 선택과 결정에 도움을 주는 요인들을 살펴봄으로써 대학에서 보다 효과적 으로 대학생들의 특성과 상황적 맥락을 고려한 진로결정을 위한 상담과 진로의사결정에 유용한 정보를 제공하여 진로지도 전략의 시사점을 얻고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 첫째, 대학생의 진로, 가치관, 대학생활 만족 도에 대한 주요 이론적 배경과 선행연구를 고찰하였고, 둘째, 연도별(2013~2016년) 대학생의 진로와 가치관의 변화 및 대학생활의 만족도의 차이를 살펴보았으며, 마지막으로 2016년 최신자료를 바탕으로 대학생의 진로와 가치관에 따른 대학생활 만족도의 차이를 살펴보았다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 연구를 진행한 결과, 대학생들은 행복한 가정과 경제적 안정도 중요하지 만 무엇보다 건강을 인생의 행복을 위해 가장 중요하게 여기는 것으로 나타났고, 성공적인 진로 및 취 업에 미치는 요인에 관한 연구에서 전공에 대한 중요성과 경계가 허물어지고 대학생활에서 본인의 의 지만으로 언제 어디서든 교육을 통해 대학생 본인의 의지대로 진로방향을 결정할 수 있기 때문에 적성 과 흥미에 대한 중요도가 높게 나타났다. 대학생들은 진로결정을 위하여 자신의 특성 및 적성을 알아보 고, 자신에게 맞는 진로 취업에 대한 다양한 정보를 습득한 후, 자신의 진로를 결정하기 전에 현장 체 험 및 실습과 같은 다양한 경험을 해보고 자신의 진로를 결정하기 위해 노력하는 것으로 나타났다. 대학생들은 자신의 특성 및 적성을 알아보고, 자신에게 맞는 진로 취업에 대한 다양한 정보를 습득 한 후, 자신의 진로를 결정하기 전에 현장 체험 및 실습과 같은 다양한 경험을 해보고 자신의 진로를 결정하기 위해 노력하는 것으로 나타났다.
