From the Natural Resource Research in Hallyeohaesang National Park in 2014, 1,331 species of 173 families under 13 orders were identified. Consequently, the insects identified from previous studies and this survey become 2,695 species 263 families 17 orders. Regarding the emergence by each taxonomic group, Lepidoptera showed the highest as 996 species of 43 families. Coleoptera followed next as 710 species of 58 families, and then showed in the order of Hemiptera as 344 species of 49 families, Hymenoptera 28 families, 246 species, Diptera 31 families, 224 species. By the Islands point, Yongchodo was identified as the highest emergence as 161 species of 63 families. Next was Bijindo as 144 species of 60 families, Yeondaedo as 144 species of 55 families, and then Chubongdo as 54 families, 134 species. The Legally protected species were identified as two Endangered wild species (Level II), 72 endemic species, 116 specific species and 43 export restricted species (meaning that the special approval is needed to export such species).

2014년도 한려해상국립공원 자연자원조사 곤충상 조사결과 13목 173과 1,331종이 조사되었다. 과거 문헌 및 본 조사에서 확인된 한려해상국립공원의 곤충류는 총 17목 263과 2,695종으로 나타났다. 분류군별 출현현황은 나비목 43과 996종으로 가장 높게 나타났으며 딱정벌레목 58과 710종, 노린재목 49과 344종, 벌목 28과 246종, 파 리목 31과 224종의 순으로 조사되었다. 도서별 출현 종 수는 용초도 63과 161종, 비진도 60과 144종, 연대도 55 과 144종, 추봉도 54과 134종순으로 조사되었다. 법정보호종은 멸종위기야생생물II급 2종, 고유종 72종, 특정종 116 종, 국외반출승인대상종 43종이 조사되었다.
