There have been seven times Curriculum Changes in Korean history textbook after liberation. It has been revised according to the influence of Japanese occupation remnants, political and social change. The replacement of national text book and authorized textbook has been performed under the same influence. The description of Korean history textbook has changed from political history centered in the initial period into life history or cultural history centered description. Also out of the Blind nationalism emphasizing, it has recognized the universality and particularity of Korean history understanding in the world. The criticism has been dominant that the principle of description is too exclusive, closed nationalism in the research trend proceeded by academic world. But the contemporary trend changed by Korean historical experience and political ideology can’t be free from the description of Korean history. Finally Korean history textbook has been advanced to objective and reasonable description in the establishment and maintenance of nationalistic development view of history

국사교과서는 해방이후 일곱 차례의 교육과정 변천이 있었다. 일제강점기 잔재의 영향, 정치적 사회적 변동에 따라 개정되었다. 국정과 검정의 교체 역시 그와 같은 영향 하에 이루어졌다. 국사교과서는 초창기 정치사 위주의 서술에서 생활사나 문화사 중심의 서술로 진행되었다. 또한맹목적인 민족주의 강조를 벗어나 세계 속의 한국사 이해라는 보편성과특수성을 인식하였다. 학계에서 그동안 진행된 국사교과서 연구동향은서술의 원칙이 배타적, 폐쇄적 민족주의라는 비판이 지배적이다. 그러나한국의 역사적 경험, 정치이념을 중심으로 변화된 동향, 동시대의 사조등은 국사교과서 서술에서 자유스러울 수 없다. 결국 국사교과서는 민족발전사관의 확립과 유지 속에서 객관적 합리적 서술로 진전되었다.
