The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the career development program on career preparation behavior and career maturity of college students. Participants included 31 college students, the first grade students of G University of Education. The 36 - hour career development program was provided during 12 week. The main results obtained from this study were as follows. First, we conducted a paired t - test to investigate the effect of career development program on career preparation behavior and career maturity of education college students. As a result, career preparation behavior and career maturity were higher in post test scores than pretest scores. it can be said that the career development program has a positive effect on career preparation behavior and career maturity of education college students. Second, the qualitative analysis revealed that the participants were able to understand various aspects of their own, understood various future career paths after their job-entry, formulated their own vision system, prepared a career plan. Based on this study, some suggestions for future research were suggested.

이 연구의 목적은 포트폴리오형 진로개발프로그램이 교육대학생의 진로준비행동과 진로성숙도에 미치는 효과를 밝히는 데 있었다. 이를 위하여 G교육대학교 1학년 학생 31명을 대상으로 12회기 30시간의 진로개발프로그램을 적용하고 그 효과를 양적 및 질적인 방법으로 분석하였다. 이 연구를 통하여 얻은 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 진로개발프로그램이 교육대학생의 진로준비행동 및 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향을 밝히기 위하여 대응표본 t 검증을 실시하였다. 검증결과, 교육대학생의 사전 진로준비행동이 사후의 진로준비행동보다 더 높았고, 교육대학생의 사전 진로성숙도보다 사후 진로성숙도가 더 높았다. 따라서 진로개발프로그램이 교육대학생의 진로준비행동과 진로성숙도에 긍정적인 효과가 있다고 할 수 있다. 둘째, 질적 분석 결과 실험 참여자들은 자신에 대하여 다각도로 이해할 수 있는 계기가 되었으며, 교직 이후의 다양한 진로를 알 수 있었고 자신의 비전체계와 진로계획을 수립하면서 미래 교사로서 학생들의 진로교육을 준비하는 계기가 되었다고 응답하였다. 이 결과로 미루어볼 때도 진로개발프로그램이 교육대학생의 진로준비행동이나 진로성숙도에 효과가 있었던 것으로 판단된다. 결론적으로 교육대학생의 진로개발역량을 제고하기 위하여 개발된 진로개발프로그램이 교육대학생의 진로준비행동과 진로성숙도에 긍정적인 효과가 있다고 결론지을 수 있다. 이 연구의 제한점을 토대로 후속연구를 위한 몇 가지 제언을 하였다.
