The purpose of this study is analyze the economic impact of inland Daegu-area aviation businesses through a regional input-output model and understand the reality and status of Daegu-area aviation transport services based on this analysis with the growing importance of the aviation industry in national infrastructure. Also, with previous studies and this paper, we have tried to present theoretical and practical issues and hope that this paper may be used as a practical manual for understanding the current status of the local aviation industry. We have offered the theoretical background as to the regional input-output model and reviewed previous studies in order to secure a comparative analysis of economic impact. We have drawn aviation industry multipliers and indexes of the sensitivity of Daegu Metropolitan City and 12 neighboring cities taking advantage of the '2013 Regional Industry Relation Table' issued by the Bank of Korea in 2015. As a result of the analysis, industry multiplier of air transportation service by province is lower than local average in all industries, and was ranked from 29th to 31st among local ranking which represents very low propagation effect, and it showed that Daegu province also makes no odds. Multipliers and indexes of Daegu Metropolitan City which are drawn from this study are expected to serve as an objective index to establish various policies to continuously develop Daegu-area aviation industry.

본 연구는 국가 기간산업으로 그 중요성이 갈수록 증대되고 있는 항공운송서비스업분야에서 내륙도시라는 한계를 가진 대구지역의 현실을 지역산업연관모형을 이용하여경제적 파급효과를 비교 분석하고, 이를 통해 대구지역의 항공운송서비스업의 위상을파악하고자 한다. 또한 선행연구와 본 연구를 바탕으로 이론 및 실무적 시사점을 제시하여 지역 항공운송서비스업을 현황을 인지하는 실무 자료로 활용하고자 한다. 경제적 파급효과의 비교분석을 위해 지역산업연관모형에 대한 이론적 배경을 제시하고 기존의 선행연구를 검토하였으며, 한국은행(2015)에서 발간한「2013 지역산업연관표」를 활용하여 지역산업연관모형을 통한 대구광역시와 12개 시도의 항공운송서비스업의 승수와 영향력 및 감응도 계수를 도출 하였다. 분석 결과 13개 시도별 항공운송서비스업의 생산승수는 지역 내 전 산업 평균보다 낮으며. 지역 내 순위에서도 전체 31개 산업부문 중 29위에서 31위의 분포를 보여 매우 낮은 생산파급효과를 나타내고 있으며 대구지역 또한 큰 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 도출된 대구광역시의 항공운송서비스업의 승수와 계수들은 향후 대구지역 항공운송서비스업의 지속적인 발전을 위한 다양한 정책을 수립하는 과정에서객관적 지표로 활용될 것으로 기대한다.
