The objectives of this study are first, to identify the factors of characteristics for small independent stores affected business sustainment plan, second, to validate the factors of characteristics in terms of business types of franchises and independent stores, and third, to work on comparison analysis with both of franchises and independent stores. As a result, small businessmen were affected with business sustainment intention from the stage of current sales situation, the motive of start-up, the occupation prior to start-up, the experience of business failure, the preparatory period of start-up, the operational period of business, the experience of external funding, and the competitor. And this study was identified that franchises affected the business sustainment intention with ages, the stage of current sales situation, competitors, and revenue and operation margin fluctuation, and the independent stores affected it with the type of ownership for business unit, the pattern of market position, the stage of sales situation, the motive of start-up, the experience of same business unit prior to start-up, the experience of business failure, the preparatory period of start-up, the sales period, , the experience of external funding, the membership of association or organization related with small businessmen, the competitor, and revenue and operation margin fluctuation. Thus, as identified that the factors affected with business sustainment intention were different according to the characteristics of small independent stores, the variable support plan would be implemented depending on the type of business and store’s characteristic, and be proposed the policy suggestion and limitation based on the analysis of study result.

본 연구의 목적은 사업지속계획에 영향을 미치는 소상공인 점포특성요인을 규명하고 가맹점과 독립점 포의 사업체형태에 따라 사업지속 계획에 영향을 미치는 점포 특성 요인을 확인하고 비교 분석 하고자 하였다. 그 결과 소상공인 전체에서는 현재 영업 상황 단계, 창업동기, 창업직전의 직업, 사업체 운영실 패경험, 창업 준비기간, 사업운영기간, 외부로부터 들어온 자금 경험, 경쟁상대로부터 사업지속여부에 영 향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 가맹점의 경우는 나이, 현재 영업 상황 단계, 경쟁상대, 매출액 증감 과 영업이익증감이 사업지속의향에 영향을 주고, 독립점의 경우에는 사업장의 소유형태, 입지유형, 영업 상황 단계, 창업 동기, 창업 직전 동일업종 경험 여부, 사업운영실패경험, 창업준비기간, 영업기간, 외부 자금경험, 소상공인 관련 협회나 단체 가입여부, 경쟁상대, 매출액과 영업이익 증감이 사업지속여부에 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되었다. 이와 같이 소상공인 점포 특성에 따라 사업지속 여부에 영향을 미치는 요인이 다름을 확인함으로써 사업체 방식과 점포특성에 따른 지원 정책을 달리해야 할 것이며, 연구 결 과 분석을 바탕으로 정책적 시사점과 한계점을 제안하였다.
