The purpose of this study is to construct a case of anticipatory criticism by comparing the early poetry series "Memorandum regarding Line" and the postmodern film (Myungse Lee, 2007). The anticipated plagiarism as a theory of anticipatory criticism is an attempt to find the inherent positions of each art work by separating the cultural history and episodic history, arguing that the artists in the past can be inspired by the descendent artists. Yi Sang's early poetry which foregrounds visual signs shows mismatches from the general tendency of the contemporary literature and his own principles in creation. This incongruity helps to discover the trace of other ages and other artistic lineages. This study suggests the method of 'Anticipatory Plagiarism' as an attempt to resolve the exceptional formation in the poetry of Yi Sang. Focusing on the time&spatial image, I analyze Yi Sang's text, "Memorandum regarding Line", that anticipatorily plagiarizes the postmodern view of time and 'open space' image. The similarity situates the postmodern film as the 'main text' of the anticipatory plagirism in that it is postmodern movie whose core element is the very theme, the postmodern and layered time & open spatial image, and the film can control the element completely. Therefore, it is investigated that Yi Sang's "Memorandum regarding Line", which has incongruity, is located as the 'subsidiary text' of the Anticipatory Plagiarism from this concrete comparison of the time image in this study. Through the discussion of 'Anticipatory Plagiarism' with , the future resource, which exists as the most important invention and realization of the specific time and spatial image, Yi Sang's poetry which prepares for the upcoming art can be located in its original position.

본 연구의 목적은 이상의 초기 시 ｢선에관한각서｣ 연작과 포스트모더니즘 영화 (이명세, 2007)의 비교를 통해 예상 비평의 한 사례를 구축하는 데에 있다. 예상 비평 이론으로서 ‘예상 표절’은, 미래의 예술가로부터 과거의 예술가가 작가적 영향을 얻을 수 있다는 전위적 주장으로부터 비롯된다. 이는 후대 텍스트를 선대 텍스트의 맥락에 소급적으로 연결시키는 시도이자 각 예술 작품 내부에 잠재된 고유한 역사와 시간적 위치를 찾아내고자하는 작업이다. 이전에는 해명되기 어렵던 해석상 난점이나 부조화는, 이 작업을 통해 미래의 원천 즉 예상 표절 당한 미래의 텍스트와 조우하며 걸맞는 계보 속에서 새롭게 파악될 수 있다. 시각적 기호를 전경화한 이상의 초기 일문 시는 작가 자신의 일반적인 창작 원리와 당대 문학의 보편적 경향으로부터 이중적으로 부조화하면서 다른 시간의 예술적 흔적을 발견하게 한다. 본 연구는 근대 작가 이상이, 후일 도래할 포스트모더니즘 영화 을 예상 표절했다는 총론 아래 예상 비평의 논지를 전개시켰다. 은 이상의 문학 텍스트를 영화적 요소와 경합시키면서 변화하게 한다. ‘이상의 시’라는 앞선 텍스트를 수정하면서 ｢선에관한각서｣를 ‘제3의 텍스트’로 다시 쓰게 하는 것이다. 예상 표절의 방법론을 통해 영화 을 경유한다는 것은 이상의 시를 다른 방식으로 풍요롭게 읽는 시도이자, 자기 시대의 외부자처럼 고립된 한 예술가를 걸맞는 예술적 연대 속에 재배치하는 유동적 문학사의 실험이다. 그리고 이 유동하는 문학이라는 가능성은 시간과 공간의 제약을 넘어서는 문학 매체의 전망과 초월적 성격을 암시하고 있는 것이기도 하다.
