This paper aims to explore the direction in which poetry to communicate with the public is more familiar to investigate the ‘Poetry, Convergence Performances’ of Kim Kyung-ju. East and West will enjoy and appreciate the poetry for a long time and has led to the era of communication with social and cultural history. However in the modern rapidly changing, Poetry is without empathy with the public has been criticized, certain hierarchy had flown a league of their own enjoyment. Because I thought about the convergence of content and new applications, one way to narrow the gap in communication. Recently, spotlighting a poet and drama writer Kim Kyung-ju is a 360-degree attempted to find the way, strange but his attempts were able to discover new possibilities. First, Poetic justice through the fusion of hip-hop and Poetik Reading, and His Poetry was own stylized motifs to create a Sigeuk(a play made by poetry), staged a play, finally as a new form of Literary critical drama, he received a response from the audience poles. Also it opened the possibility to exhibit the painter Vladimir kuswi’s picture with the poetry of Kim Kyung-ju so that the audience can re-interpret the picture. In this study, when Kim’s poetry had met a new field it was able to create a variety of value- added by producing complementary contents. Furthermore, found that the public is able to grow in culture that can be familiar with enjoyment.

본고의 목적은, 김경주의 ‘시, 융합공연’을 고찰하여 시(詩)와 대중이 더 친숙하게 소통할 수 있는 방향성을 모색하는데 있다. 동서양은 오랫동안 시를 향유하고 음미하며 사회문 화적으로 역사와 함께 소통의 시대를 이끌어왔다. 그러나 빠르게 변화하는 현대에서 시(詩)는 대중과 공감하지 않은 채, 특정계층이 향유 하는 그들만의 리그가 되어버렸다는 비판을 받아왔다. 때문에 소통의 간극을 좁히는 한 방법으로 새로운 분야와의 콘텐츠 융합을 생각해보았다. 최근 주목받고 있는 시인이자 희곡작가인 김경주가 그 방법을 모색하기 위해 전방위적 시도를 하고 있는데, 그의 시도들은 낯설지만 새로운 가능성을 발견할 수 있었다. 우선, 시 낭독과 힙합의 융합을 통한 포에틱져스티스(poetic justice)와 자신의 시를 모티프로 삼아 시극을 만들고 연극 을 상연시켰으며, 문학비평극이라는 새로운 형식으로 관객들의 호응을 받기도 했다. 또한 화가 블라디미르 쿠쉬의 그림에 김경주의 시를 함께 전시하여 관 객들이 그림을 재해석할 수 있도록 가능성을 열어주었다. 이와 같은 연구 로, 시인 김경주의 시가 새로운 분야와 만났을 때 상호보완적 콘텐츠를 생산해내어 다양한 부가가치를 창출할 수 있었고, 대중이 함께 친숙하게 향유할 수 있는 문화로 성장할 수 있음을 알게 되었다.
