While reading the literature about Korea-Japan exchange of Chosun Dynasty era, we can easily discover from many literatures that many correnspondents’ names were marked differently, even if they are the same person. In ‘Changsoojein’, one of the parts of envoy record named ‘Ilkwanki’ which was written by Nam-Ok (Jesoolgwan - Poem exchanger) during Chosun envoys in 1763～4, nearly 500 Japanese writers were contained and written by their names in general. However, in ‘Pildamchanghwazip’ which is closely related to “Changsoojein’, all the Japanese writers were listed by their names, art names, and courtesy names. Also in Japanese dictionary, most of them were marked by their art names. Hence, due to this complication and miscommunications between Chosun literature, Japanese literature and Japanese dictionary, there are difficulties in research works. In this paper, all the writers names listed inside ‘Changsoojein’ will be recognized by comparing and considering between ‘Changsoojein’ and 1764 ‘Pildamchanghwazip’ and Japanese dictionary. By doing that, we expect to recognize all the writers in ‘Changsoojein’ by their roles, name list type, degree of mistaken writings

전통시대 한일 교류 관련 문헌을 읽다보면, 동일인물로 여겨짐에도 달리 표기되어 있는 인명들을 심심치 않게 접하게 된다. 1763,4년 통신사행 때 제술관으로 사행에 참여하였던 남옥이 쓴 사행록 『일관기』의 항목 ｢창수제인｣에는 500여명에 이르는 일본문사들이 수록되어 있으며, 이들 문사들은 이름 위주로 표기되어 있다. 그런데 ｢창수제인｣과 관련된 필담창화집에 등장하는 인명은 이름과 자호 등 다양하게 표기되어 있고 일본사전에는 대부분 호 위주로 표기되어 있다. 이런 이유로 조선문헌과 일본문헌 및 일본사전과의 소통이 원만하게 이루어지지 않아 연구 작업에 어려움이 따르고 있다. 본고에서는 이러한 점을 염두에 두어 ｢창수제인｣의 인명을 1764년 필담창화집 및 일본사전에 나오는 인명과 비교 고찰해 봄으로써 ｢창수제인｣의 성격 규명은 물론 표기의 유형, 나아가 오기의 정도 등을 고구해보고자 한다.
