This article presents theoretical and empirical research regarding the experience of the youth who belong to South Korean churches, that are suffering from entrance examination stress. The purpose of this article is to present a possible method to the South Korean local churches, to strategically care for and support those youth suffering from entrance examination stress and academic pressures, by means of a relationship-oriented care ministry. The research in this study is based on Osmer's practical theological method, and Krueger and Casey’s methodology was used to analyse the focus group interview data. In conclusion, the congregation as a part of the social support and mentor system should fulfil the role of a bridge connecting the Korean society and the local church, as to ease the entrance examination stress of youth in the local church and to establish their identity as God’s called to the entrance examination.

이 논문은 입시 스트레스로 인해 고통 받고 있는 한국 교회안의 청소년의 경험에 관한 이론적·경험론적 연구이다. 연구의 목적은 학업 스트레스와 입시 스트레스로 고통 받고 있는 기독 청소년을 관계지향적인 돌봄 사역을 통해 효과적이고 능동적으로 그들을 돌볼 수 있는 구체적인 전략적 방법을 한국의 지역 교회에 제시하는데 있다. 본 연구는 아스머(Osmer)의 실천 신학 방법을 기반으로 하고 있으며, 크루거(Krueger)와 케이시(Casey)가 제시한 포커스 그룹 인터뷰 방법론을 사용하여 인터뷰한 데이터(data)를 분석하였다. 결론은 사회적 지지 및 멘토링 시스템의 역할로서의 회중(congregation)이 지역 교회 안에 있는 청소년의 입시 스트레스를 완화시키고 입시에 대한 소명자로서의 정체성을 확립하도록 돕기 위해 한국 사회와 지역 교회를 이어주는 다리 역할을 수행해야 한다.
