In the 21st century, a person of talent required by this age is a competent person with creative problem solving abilities. Therefore, in order to lead the 21st century which is called the age of creation and culture, convergence education with art is not an option but an essential one. However, the educational field in Korea is still not easily accessible to the convergence education since parents are opposed to it. I think that it is a priority to change this negative perception structure in order for the convergence education with art to be activated as an all-round education as well as an education for cultivating creative talents. In addition, an interest in musical education has been increasing considerably in junior high schools nowadays. What is worrisome, however, is that musical education can be transformed into a means of education that is implemented as a simple trend. I am confident that there will be good results in the field of education if there are ample consideration, preparation and effort in the convergence education with art. This is what I have felt as an art educator in the education field.

21세기 오늘날 이 시대가 요구하는 인재상은 창의적 문제해결능력을 갖춘 인 재상이라 할 것이다. 따라서 창조와 문화의 시대라 일컫는 21세기를 이끌어 나 가기 위해서는 예술융합교육이이제 선택이 아니라 필수라 하겠다. 하지만 아직도 우리나라의 교육 현장은 쉽게 융합교육에 접근하지 못하고 있다. 학부모들이 반 대하기 때문이다. 예술융합교육이 창의적 인재양성의 교육으로써, 전인적 교육 으로써 활성화되려면 이러한 인식구조가 바뀌는 것이 우선 아닐까 생각한다. 또한 요즘 중학교를 중심으로 뮤지컬교육에 대한 관심이 상당히 높아져 가고 있다. 그러나 우려되는 것은 뮤지컬 교육이 단순한 유행처럼 시행되는 교육의 수 단으로 변질될 수 있기 때문이다. 예술융합 교육에 대한 충분한 숙고와 준비, 그 리고 노력이 있다면 교육 현장에선 반드시 좋은 결과를 얻을 것이라 확신한다. 이것이 학교 현장에서 예술교육을 하는 사람으로서 느끼는 체감의 결론이다.
